0-60 is less than 2 seconds - and it's street legal!

This unique Aston Martin drag racer is owned by Steve Niemantas and features genuine aluminium Aston Virage and Vantage body panels, based on a tubular chassis.

Power comes from a Chrysler based 9.4 litre engine with supercharger on top. Absolute output was kept secret, but performance figures were readily provided : top speed on a ¼ mile drag strip is 160.4 mph, reached in only 8.9 seconds. That is 6.9 seconds after reaching 60 mph. Yes, that's right : 0-60 comes up in less than 2 seconds!

The best part of the Aston Martin drag racer is that it is road legal as required by the rules of the Street Eliminator class it races in.
