Aston Martin offered the Vantage option as a performance upgrade the consisted of triple Weber carburetors and high-compression cylinder head that produced 325 bhp.

After Aston Martin launched the long-wheel base Mark 2, the Vantage option continued to be offered. Retroactively, the earlier versions became known as the short-wheel base model.

That is ordinary DB6, this is it's higher performance version. That thread may have specs for both but by title it's clear that it isn't Vantage
 
The first and the last time a DB6 appeared in GT franchise was in Gran Turismo 2. I think it's needs to make a come back in GT but in the more powerful Vantage model.
