This race is the High Speed Ring 4 lap race in Extreme Hall, Premium Sports Car Cup, I will be using a stock Aston Martin DB9 Coupe (no oil change), aginst a field of cars that will give me 101 A Spec points.

The Grid.

Spyker C8 Laviolette
Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Saleen S7
Aston Martin DB9 Coupe
Mercedes CLK 55 AMG
Aston Martin DB9 Coupe (Me)

It will be a hard race to win, but not impossible.

Lap 1.

Compared to my Aston Martin, the CLK 55 still looked stopped at the start, I was in fifth in no time at all, the slower V8 Vantage held up the other DB9, putting me in third place at turn one, behind the Spyker and Saleen. My fast line out of the first turn nearly put me in second, but the Saleen's brilliant accelration kept me in third, I was gaining lots of time in the corners, but loosing it on the straights. I was in second by the turn before the bridge, just behind the leading Spyker, but the Saleen was still hot on my tail. Well, the place I thought I'd lose time, I acctully went up into first, the Saleen, which overtook me just before the last corner braked, along with the Spyker, allowing me to take them both round the outisde, but of course, the now second placed Saleen drafted me down the straight, I'm only 0.3 seconds ahead coming onto lap 2. Laptime - 1'28.758.

Lap 2.

The Saleen overtakes me at the end of the straight, but I brake later into turn 1, and I'm back in first coming up to the tunnel. The Saleen seems to be a bit further behind now, but no more than a second. Wow, compared to me, the Saleen is a rocket, after a clean and pretty fast last turn, the Saleen is only 0.5 seconds behind, and has my draft coming up to turn one of lap 3. Laptime - 1'20.205.

Lap 3.

Saved again, by turn one, I keep my cool and come out on top, by now, I wasn't worring about being beaten by the Spyker, even if it is just a few tenth of a second behind the Saleen. No, the Saleen is approaching me on the home straight very quickly, I knew now that turn one wouldn't save me, I was in second. Laptime - 1'19.790.

Lap 4.

The final lap, I'm in second with the Saleen just ahead of me, I can still win this, but it might be hard. I take a wider line around the light left heading towards the tunnel, the Saleen though, accelrated away. The bridge, I though I could overtake there, I was neck and neck with the Saleen, but yet again, I'm second coming into the second to last turn. This is it, the last turn approaching, I'm in the Saleen's draft, anything could happen now between us. Yes! Like always, the Saleen brakes midway through the turn, I squeeze through round the outside, with just enough space to not make contact, I'm winning, the finish is in sight. No! No! The Saleen takes my path, squeezes through the left side of the track, I came second, the margin of loss must of been tiny.

Results.

Saleen S7 - 5'26.655
Aston Martin DB9 Coupe (Me) - +0.072
Spyker C8 Lavoilette - +4.256
Aston Martin DB9 Coupe - +15.357

A Spec Points - 0.

I had a fun race, despite not winning, hope you enjoied reading, please comment :).

Close race and nice report. Man, you put more details in the report from 5 minute race than I do for endurance race :-) (and it's a good thing)
I think I ran fully tuned 500hp BMW M3 CSL in that race.
