Hey I was wondering if anyone could give me their best set up for the aston martin V8 Vantage cause I need a good set up for this pretty powerful car.

Here is a setup that I found. I'm not sure who did it. See what you think.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage ‘99

SR - 9.6 8.4
RH - 92 92
Bound - 3 / 4
Rebound - 5 / 7
Camber Angle - 2.5 / 1.5
Toe - 0 / 0
Stablizers - 7 / 7

ASM 0 & 0
TCS - 5

Brakes - 8 / 7
Downforce - 23 / 30

I don't have a problem with the stock handling on the Vantage. My problem is the back end. It spins like the Tuscan Speed 12, which is just no fun.

Any help on that?

I just made this set-up for the Vantage. Hope someone will use it...

This set-up is for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. It's fully modified with the best parts, including the rollcage, without nitrous, and uses Sports Medium tires. It also gave 1'14.176 on Midfield.

Comments and Suggestions are welcome.

Suspension
-Spring Rate: 16.0 / 16.3
-Ride Height: 88 / 128
-Bound: 7 / 7
-Rebound: 8 / 8
-Camber: 2.2 / 1.6
-Toe: 0 / -2
-Stabilizers: 3 / 3

LSD
-Initial: 5
-Acceleration: 20
-Deceleration: 10

Downforce
Amount: 30 / 30

Driving Aids
-ASM Oversteer: 0
-ASM Understeer: 0
-TCS: 7

Brake Controller
-Brakes: 4 / 4

Transmission
1. Slide "Final" all the way to 5.000.
2. Slide Autoset to 1.
3. Then slide "Final" to 3.330.
This is the tranny trick, and this is a good base for tuning your transmission for each track.

Sorry to be a bit pedantic, but I think you mean the TVR Cerbera Speed 12, because TVR never made a Tuscan Speed 12.

Sorry, but as a rabid TreVoR fan I can never let that one go. :)

:D

Quite right Scaff 👍

Tho' I have to wonder just what a Tuscan Speed 12 would be like ... mmm ....

As to the problem with wheelspin in the Vantage, that's a 'feature' of the game-engine I'm afraid. It can't properly emulate cars with lots of torque and so you either have to spanner like mad to get it to behave, modulate your throttle carefully or fit softer tyres and hope the extra grip does the trick.

In real life GT racing, the Vantage was a killer. I watched one at Brands Hatch in a classics GT race a little while ago and it left everyone else for dead (lapping a good portion of the field). Same story moral for the Speed 12 - the GT series has some serious holes, lest we forget, so I hope budding petrolheads don't take what they see in-game as gospel when it comes to car performance.

Anyhow, before I drag my soap-box fully out and start to rant, I'll zip-up and sign-off :).

I know I'm resurrecting an old thread....but has anyone had any breakthroughs with this car? I love the looks of this thing and I wanted it to be my in-game daily driver. But I can't get this thing to stop spinning its rear tyres....I did a full weight reduction (thing drives like a brick) which was probably a mistake. I just was really disappointed in this bueaty.

...it really sucked when I had to drive theone-make race in 4th 99% of the time to win. Anybody got any ideas? I'd like to get buy with a FC Tranny & Suspension and no HP mods.
