The Aston Martin Vantage is Aston Martin's cheapest and most agile car, available with a V8 or V12 engine. This car is the GT2 model and is based off the V8 Vantage, and is the fastest version of the Vantage. The car was designed to meet the FIA GT2 regulations and became a customer car for use in the FIA GT Championship, American LeMans Series and the 24 Hours of LeMans. The engine is a race modified version of the 4.3 V8 in the road car, enlarged to 4.5 litres. The chassis is the same aluminium chassis as the road car but with carbon fibre panels, front splitter, rear diffuser, rear wing and flat floor. The car debuted at the 2008 Grand Prix of Long Beach, driven by Paul Drayson (former UK Minister of State) and Jonny Cocker (Former British GT Champion) and was run on E85 Fuel. Drayson Racing finished the ALMS 2008 Season with 24 points, putting them in 31st in the GT2 Driver's Championship and 9th in the GT2 Teams Championship.

Fairly old school now but considering Aston's considerable involvement and now legacy in GT racing across various leagues it is a significant vehicle. Plus an awesome looker and who doesn't love some GT2/3 action.
