None, because you're looking for them at Best Buy. You can get these cards for at least $30 less online.

Out of those two cards, the X700 wins, because the 6600 is meh at best. If I had to choose, I would get a 6600GT instead, which is on par with the X700.

Right now, Newegg has a sale for a PNY 6600GT for $125 after $20 MIR. Don't let Best Buy **** you over with their ridiculous prices.

I have a 6600GT which spec wise isn't too much faster than the X700 and I run Battlefield 2 @ 1024x768 with everything on high except shadows and one other setting. I also run Half Life 2 @ 1280x1024 everything on high.

When you buy either of these cards, make sure you have some good ram. And a good CPU since CPU bottleneck can ruin your GPU fun.

The ATI X700PRO will outperform the 6600 by very far! In my opinion you should jump on the 120$ site that icemanshooter23 gave you. It's a very good price.

Also, ask yourself what type of games you play. If you're playing lots of games that run off of HL2's source engine, go with an ATI card. Or if you're playing lots of Doom 3 for instance, buy an nVidia card. Most major games today are optimized for one brand or the other, so take that into consideration when buying.

In the lower mid-range, they do - badly. Their upper-mid, ie, the X800xl however is unbeatable for the price 👍

As Viper Zero said, get the 6600GT - not the regular 6600. Don't bother with the X700pro or whatever because the card lags behind the 6600GT pretty badly. If you want more than that, go for an X800XL - you can't go wrong with it, but it'll cost ya a lot more

They came out with the x800 gt, which competes with the 6600gt fairly well, but it's only for PCI-E.

edit: I would say those cards are about equal. What exactly do you want to do with the card?
