For those of you who spend considerable time checking out the used car lot . . . What kind of used car shopper are you?
Do you constantly hunt down the lowest mileage car in what ever model that you are looking for?
Do you buy whatever you are looking for whenever it comes around?
Do you buy by color alone?
Are you a 6.2 Mile (10K) collector?
Or do you completely avoid the used car lot unless you have to?
I myself constantly peruse the Used-Car lots. Checking in after an event to see what has popped up on the lot. Scanning the used car list to see what will be appearing over the next couple cycles to see if anything could be an interesting buy.
Up until recently, I would only pick up cars with the lowest available mileage in a specific color. Then I realized that I was spending a considerable amount of wasted credits on cars with minimal performance advantages. Here is an example:
97 FTO GP Version R 10,800
200-hp (After oil change)
97 FTO GP Version R 7,559
198-hp (After oil change)
The same car can also be purchased for a whopping 14, 039 credits.
(I couldnt tell you if there is any more HP than the one costing10,800.)
To me, the same car, with the same handling performance and 2hp gain for 3,241 or 6,480 credits isnt worth it.
But then again, to others it might be.
Ive also found cars that show no difference in stats no matter what the price.
