Built in 1994 the RT13 Audi Quattro made it's racing debut at the Zandvoort round of the inaugural ADAC TourenWagen Cup (STW) season, replacing the 1993 RT12. Frank Biela drove the car for at Zandvoort and managed pole position, fastest lap and race win on the car's first outing. Biela managed numerous race wins and ended up 2nd overall, just 9 points behind Johnny Cecotto in the BMW 318i E36.
Later that year Biela took the wheel of the Quattro for the final FIA Touring Car World Cup at Paul Ricard but retired after 10 laps, with teammate H.J. Stuck finishing 5th overall.
In 1995 Biela returned to the STW with the Quattro and finished 3rd in the overall standings with a number of race wins, just a few points behind the BMW 318i's of Winkelhock and Kox.
