Audi has announced they will stop all financial backing of the factory Audi teams, and parent company, Volkswagon will give all financial help to Bentley and their EXP Speed 8.

Looks like someone else might actually have a chance.đź‘Ť

Frustrated Palm, He's talking about ALMS prototypes. Speedvision Cup car are completely different. That is the warm up races for the big boys in ALMS. The Bentley car gets 2 more inches of treadwidth too this year per ACO rules. Basically this is all they needed lastyear to win. The bentleys tires had to be so hard to cope with the enourmous downforce they could barely get traction out of tight corners. The R8 is still my pick.

Audi will be dominant, just like Ferrari will win about everything in Formula 1.

They've got the best drivers, and the best chassis. Champion Racing, which ran a 2001 spec R8 last year, without any factory support, was still faster than Cadillac, Panoz, MG and the rest of the LMP900s, and you can expect them to be a force to reckon with this year again.

Besides, Bentley is now owned by Volkswagen, which owns Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, SEAT, Skoda and whatever else... Even if the R8 isn't dominant, and the Bentley is, they don't care whatsoever, they're still winning in the end!

I expect Joest to take the ALMS championship again this year, and probably Le Mans too.

Bentley will more than likely win Le Mans, with no factory Audi team Kristensen and Capello have been 'loaned' to Bentley as has a large propertion of the Joest team, also the all British car of Blundell, Brabham and Herbert will be very hard to beat!

Plus private Audi's haven't done overly well at Le Mans, it's a shame theres fewer works teams this year after Cadillac and MG scrapped their works entries. Ah well at least MG can concentrate on the BTCC now!

Kristensen was this years ALMS champion. He drove the Champion car for 1 race as co-driver to Johnny Herbert, who was given the majority of the drive in a bid to gain points.

The Champion car would have won everything had the works cars not been there. Put simply, the Audi R8 is one of the greatest sportscars ever designed.

See, i was right. Audi 1-2, Bentley 3-4.

We can't stop them, at least not this year.

i bet Bentley will have the set-ups worked out by le mans and might win, anyways, it took the corvettes a while to get tuned in, and look at them now..
