Audi is for certain making the R8 e-tron this time. They fired the guy, whose name escapes me, for dragging his feet on the previous generation. It won't be an i8 rival either as it is full electric and will be in a completely different price bracket to that.

It's the best looking version of the new generation R8. The other version looks awkward and not as nice as the first generation.

.............Oh I know that - what I mean by Audi needing this on the road pronto, is that they need to "steal" the proverbial thunder from i8 and all the publicity it generates for BMW. Even though it isn't the first proper electric sports car, Beemer is being treated as one....like it's going to solve the global warming or something....
