...this Audi and its delicious sounding engine: 600 PS / 650 NM or 479 lb-ft from 2.5-liters of five-pot goodness, helped by a turbocharger and an electric supercharger. This propels the car to 100 km/h or 62 mph in 3.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 310 km/h (192.6 mph); yes, it’s got Quattro all-wheel drive for added grip too.

Audi is keen to point out that by using the electric supercharger system, this TT is able to “cover up to 16 meters (52.5 ft) within the first 2.5 seconds – which is six meters (19.7 ft) further than a comparable car without this innovation. That is a difference of around one and one-half car lengths.”

Electric supercharger sounds interesting, and due to this being an Audi, I have a feeling they'll be using it in a production car soon.

Does look a bit like the R8, from a far I bet people will confuse the two (till the massive rear spoiler appears that is). Do want.

not actual new R8 I know but couldn't find a white one

I wonder if a new TT-RS will utilise electric turbocharging after it's introduced on the upcoming diesel SQ7.

Are turbochargers on diesels applied the same way on their gasoline counterparts? Never put any thought to it until now.
