Audi is keen to point out that by using the electric supercharger system, this TT is able to “cover up to 16 meters (52.5 ft) within the first 2.5 seconds – which is six meters (19.7 ft) further than a comparable car without this innovation. That is a difference of around one and one-half car lengths.”

The Mk2 TT RS offers both of those qualities (albeit in a less extreme manner than the Clubsport) in a modern coupé package.

Are turbochargers on diesels applied the same way on their gasoline counterparts? Never put any thought to it until now.
