Audio lag? Try thisPS4

I was experiencing an audio lag of about a second which was confusing me totally. For example, the engine note would continue to rise after each gear change.

The fix was to stop using "DTS"

I have a PS4 Pro connected to an LG 4K HDR OLED TV via HDMI, and I suspect the issue is peculiar to certain setups like mine
