I will start by saying thank you to my friend Flynn77 for coming up with this grand idea and you get all the credit for the title cause I'm too lazy to make up my own. Alright well, I'm feeling pretty bored of just roaming around the forum. It needs something to test us drivers, so I've decided to setup a challenge (sounded like Richard Hammond right there.) I am as of right now starting Audi's Le Mans Prototype Racing Series hence the title.

RULES:
1.You have as many laps as you want to get your best time.
2.No customizing of your cars except tuning (suspension, downforce etc.)
3.You MUST choose a teammate.
4.You MUST drive the same car as your teammate.
5.You cannot have the same cars as another team.
6.Please have some pride and NOT CHEAT (chicane cutting, Stage 4 turbos, etc.)
7.Respect your other opponents.
8.NO Group C LMPs (Sauber, Minolta, R92CP, etc.)
9.NO cars other than LMPs

BASICS: First, you will find a partner choose a car and record your times. The deadline to enter your times is one week, saturday, and the deadline will NOT be extended. You will enter your times and they will be averaged. The team with the best time will be awarded with points. The number of points awarded to the winner depends on how many teams enter.

REWARDS: seeing as there isn't much I can give away, the winners of the season will receive bragging rights (dont be too harsh about it) and first pick of cars IF there is another season.

TRACKS:
1.Laguna Seca
2.Sarthe I
3.Fuji Speedway 90's
4.Cote d' Azur
5.Suzuka circuit
6.Seattle

CARS:
Heres the list, as the cars are picked I will remove them from the list.

LMP1/LMP900

Audi R8 Race Car ('01)
BMW V12 LMR Race Car ('99)
Pescarolo Courage C60/Peugeot Race Car ('03)
Pescarolo PlayStation C60/Judd Race Car ('04)

LMGTP

Bentley Speed 8 Race Car ('03)
Toyota GT-One Race Car (TS020) ('99)

LM GT1 (old rules)

BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car ('97)
Panoz Esperante GTR-1 Race Car ('98)

The black cars (R390 and GT-One) are available for use. Also if the black car is taken by a team the original is still up for grabs and vice versa.

I AM ONLY ADDING THE Le Mans GT1s DUE TO THE SMALL NUMBER OF Le Mans Protoypes

TEAMS:
Team #1-Smallhorses & Tricd04-Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK-GTR

Team #2-E Rak & Shotamagee- Nissan R390 (Black)

Also, regarding cars, picking your vehicle is on a first come first serve basis. No whining if you didnt get your favorite car.

To sign up simply tell me by posting. Ready? GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! :gtplanet:

I'm in with whoever wants me as their team-mate.
I'll drive whatever they wish to drive too. I'm that flexible.

I'd also suggest changing the thread title to be the full title and not just a collection of letters that look like a dyslexic spider has crawled over your keyboard!!
(Click "Edit" on your post, then "Go Advanced" and you should now be able to cut'n'paste "Audi's Le Mans Prototype Racing Series" in place of "Almprs")

This list: Race Car classifications may come in handy too, so that we don't end up with people trying to enter Nissan R92CPs and Sauber C9s.
Perhaps a clarification in post #1 of what you'll consider as eligible as technically there are only 4 true LMP class cars in GT4?

I'm in with you AudiPro. Is it okay if we reincarnate "The Epic Team of Holy Justiceness"?
I wouldn't mind running one of the C60's.

I really want to sign up... Wanna make a team, Smallhorses?

Sounds good. Let us know what you want to drive here and I'm on it.

Perhaps AudiPro could verify which cars he's considering eligible before we make a choice?

So are all the other 'Race Cars' eligible for entering?

If it is eligible, I'd like to drive the BMW M3 Race Car '01.

Perhaps AudiPro could verify which cars he's considering eligible before we make a choice?

That might be a good thing.

No GT cars (check the rules please)

And to Smallhorses and tricd04, I suggest you pick a car before the options thin out.

I've still not really got clarification of your definition of LMP.
Are you using the list that I linked to?
In which case it's 1 of 4 cars?
Or are you including LMGTP cars in that descriptor too? In which case Toyota GT-One & Bentley Speed 8 are eligible.

Do make it clear in post #1 for everyone's benefit.

It would probably be better to run WSC cars (Nissan R92CP, Peugeot 905, Jag XJ-R9 etc) than LMPs because there is a greater selection of cars.

I'll form a team with whoever, so long as we preferably use one of the prize cars, (I've only got about 5.7 million credits at the moment and would rather not blow approx 80% of it on 1 car)

so my prefered options are;

LMP1/LMP900
Audi R8 Race Car ('01)

LMGTP
Bentley Speed 8 Race Car ('03)
Toyota GT-One Race Car (TS020) ('99) *

LM GT1 (old rules)
BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car ('97)
Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK-GTR Race Car ('98)
Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car ('98) *

* If the Black used cars are allowed, these are options aswell.

Yeah, Seatle isn't a very good circuit for this, and frankly what turned me off, that and wether or not gearbox and lsd tunning is ok.

Ok, now that we for sure know which cars are eligible, I'd like to run the Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK-GTR Race Car ('98) with Smallhorses.

Seeing as how the only other team currently entered have opted for the Merc CLK GTR, my prefered choice is now the Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car, because both these cars are "fairly" even as far as pace goes.

Just a thought i had: Isn't it kinda pointless to make up a challenge with Le Mans cars and not incorporate anything like endurance or consistency? I'd say you should at least race 10 laps, including at least one pitstop and then average the time taken between the two teammates. Or race as much as you like and then choose 10 consecutive laps to get the best time. Tire wear is an issue, as it doesn't occure in Free Runs. Does it with the Race Meetings? No idea right now.
Is anyone with me?

I really dont care about endurance or tires. Just drive as fast as you can and get the quickest time.
