AUS GT5 Racing Team

Hey Guys/Girls,

Who here is interested in setting up an Australian GT5 Racing Team. Now everyones input is needed to get this team running and i need to know who would be interested in being part of the team. It doesnt matter how good or bad you are at racing, this team will cater for all skill levels.

We would hold weekly races against other teams on GT5 and have time trial practice sessions to get our times as low as possible. Eg. Sunday nights could be the Sunday Cup where a list of tracks are voted on through the week and then the Cup is set up on Sunday night. Also we can have the practice sessions on Saturday where we all race the same track to better our times. We could have online leader boards so that we can see who is fastest and try to beat each others times. Hopefully GT5 lets us have clan names so that we can display a tag. There is also a possibility of a LAN each month where we can set up our PS3's and TV's in a house or hall and race over a couple of days.

First things first though... We need a name. Post up suggestions to get this ball rolling.

I think people are still speculating what GT5 is going to have, and/or are busy with GT5P teams at the moment.

we are an aussie team that are patiently waiting for GT5... we started back in forza 2 days.. have since moved over to the PC sector while waiting for GT5 to drop

very laid back and without all the BS that goes on in alot of teams.

feel free to have a look around. if you do end up starting your own... maybe we could organise some friendly inter club challenges and stuff

I have set up a similiar team called "Southern Cross Racing", but it is invite only and only allows AUS and NZ drivers. We do race meets every friday night and we normally have a theme. But we have big plans for GT5....

EDIT: I sent you a visitor message, I think it would be great to have some team race nights. For example maybe every month or two, SCR Vs ITR Vs [insert your name here]. I think that would be great fun! Just casual racing of course since SCR is generally pretty laid back and we all get on well.👍 Also, great site ITR. At the moment SCR is just running a free site, but we may go with a proper domain when GT5 comes out...We'll see....

Also noticed that ITR plays many games, I think I may have heard of ITR at www.adrenalinfactor.com. I didn't know that you guys played GT5P too!

Yeh i too am waiting to see what GT5 offers but just thought i'd get prepared and get everything set up so that we arent trying to set things up when the game is released in a few months. And i generally just want to get the team together now to make things easier when the game comes out.

Yep, that's what I wanted to do. But the guys in SCR raced each other all the time anyway, so it made sense to make a team with all of us in it.
Anyway, you'll enjoy it.👍 It makes racing so much more fun doing it with guys you get on well with and are fast and clean. Pretty much what you said in the first post is what SCR will most likely do when GT5 comes out.

Japan has some skilled drifters
USA has powerful and fast NASCAR
Rest of Europe has skilled Rally drivers.

U should have the actual race during the week. Formula 1 is on saturday/sunday nights so thats a no goer. well depends what time u want it on.

Of course our NZ neighbours can come join in to. You are basically part of Australia anyway. Oh and the race idea for weekends was just an idea It can be at anytime during the week. Just gotta work out when everyone would want it to be.

The best of luck to you though, stickman1987, in setting up your team, and I hope that all goes well for you. When GT5 is released keep us updated on how the team goes, and who knows... other countries may setup similar teams, and then you could race against teams from other countries... that would be awesome!

thanks mate. i'm in the process of setting up the site with members pages, forum, calendar of events and news section. Also there will be a photo gallery for members to post up pics that they take and post links to their youtube vids that GT5 posts to youtube. All i need atm is the name then we will be weel underway. More suggestions so we can vote on the name soon.

I just created a new site for SCR....But we will probably get our own domain when GT5 comes out since these free ones you can only do much on...But if we do setup our own site we will probably need someone else to do it for us.

Goodwork stickman1987, can't wait to see the site and also race against your team. Should be fantastic, i'm excited and i'm not even a part of it! Mainly excited because finally SCR will have some opposition from the Southern Hemisphere.👍

LOL all we need now is a name and members. I'm just using a free hosting site for now till i get everything else sorted. I'm actually a web designer but just reformatted my PC so i need to install all my programs again. If you need a hand with your site give me a yell and i shall be of your service.

yeah I'm the only member in ITR who is currently active playing GT5P because I don't have a computer that can run racing game without crashing/lagging 👎.

Once we have decided on a name the full site will go live as i have everything set up i just need the name so that i can register the domain.
