History:
This is one of the most historic cars ever produced by Enzo Ferrari. This is the very first car he made after leaving Alfa Romeo in 1938. Ferrari ran Alfa's racing division Scuderia Ferrari. Alfa forbid Ferrari from using the Scuderia Ferrari name for at least 4 years after leaving the company. Thus Ferrari formed Auto Avio Costruzioni (AAC) to manufacture airplane parts for the Italian government. In 1939 Lotario Rangoni asked Ferrari to build 2 cars for him an Alberto Ascari to race in the 1940 Mille Miglia (which was called the Brescia Grand Prix back then). Ascari's car lead the race for the 1500 cc class for the 1st of 9 laps, but then developed a valve problem. Rangoni took the lead and set a lap record for the 1500 cc class but retired after the 7th lap with his own engine problem. Unfortunately, Rangoni's car was scrapped in 1958, however Ascari's car remains in Mario Righini's car collection in Italy.

Specs:
Engine: 1.5L (1496 cc) Single Overhead Camshaft Straight 8
Weight: 625kg (1,378lbs)
Wheelbase: 2,420mm (95.3in)

I'm surprised how few of votes this thread has. The car really is a Ferrari without the name. Such a historic car for Enzo Ferrari.

Says the guy who almost beat Fernando Alonso at the Malaysian Grand Prix in 2012, had a seat at Ferrari in his future, signed for McLaren for 2013, and now drives for Force It-Inya. :sly:
