Is it just me or is the Auto Union V16 Type C Streamline '37 & SilEighty '98 not available in Arcade Mode.

I know in the garage if you select by Dealer/ Manufacture, the SilEighty '98 says none but I think you can add parts in Nissan Dealer

Dealer for the Auto Union is Audi, (but i can't select in arcade mode).

Has anyone else come across this or is it just me. Also before some-one says it, I know that trade cars from another memory card, these are not available in Arcade Mode and these two cars were not traded.

Have you unlocked them (Bought them)?

if you have then go by the year and look for it in
the timeline.

I believe that neither is available in Arcade Mode under any listing. For the Sileighty, that's probably just a mistake stemming from its lack of a manufacturer. For the Audi, the "special car" message in GT Mode says something like, "can only be raced on Nurburgring Free Run and Photo Drive." Unfortunately, even if you've selected Nurburgring in Arcade Mode, the Audi is unavailable.

The Auto Union is not available in Arcade Mode, no.

However, the SilEighty is, but it's not obvious. At the top you'll notice that "By Manufacturer" is highlighted, but alongside it is "By Era" (your version's text may vary). Select this and go to the SilEighty's date (1998? I forget) and, lo and behold, there it is.

Spot on. From wiki:

The Sileighty (also written as Sil80) originated through early street racers in Japan who owned Nissan 180SXs with damaged front ends. Because the Silvia's front panels and lights were lighter and cheaper than the 180SX replacement parts, many drifters used these parts instead. Unknown to the public until the release date, these end user modifications inspired a Japanese auto shop, Kids Heart to produce a small number of so called "official" or "real" Nissan Sileighties. It is on record that 500 cars were made by this shop, and were only sold in 1998, possibly through Nissan dealerships.[1] Essentially the kouki (late model) 180SX Type-X tuned for drifting, the cars are distinguished from their home-built brethren by the distinctive "Sileighty" name on the rear dressplate and quarter windows. The Sileighty includes performance-oriented modifications such as a new ECU, a stiffer suspension system, an improved limited slip differential, and an increase in turbocharger boost from 7 psi to about 13 psi, resulting in approximately 230 hp (172 kW), versus 205 from the standard Silvia's SR20DET or the 180SX's 175hp CA18DET. The Sileighty is not recognized by any government as a Nissan manufactured model; instead it is generally treated as the model of the original car before modification.

So there you go on the Nissan clear-up. ;)

That's a bugger about the Auto Union, and very tricky for the SilEighty. Naughty PD
