It's always better to have the poll up with the pictures rather than the links. 👍

I am pretty sure it is just a matter of adding the IMG tags to the entries in the poll.

I tried to inserta a thumbnail, but the liknks are too long to be posted as a poll option, and the IMG codes would be showing 900px images, which isn't ideal for some...

I use Photobucket to host all the pictures, as I can keep all the competitions in seperate folders, and everything organized (to an extent), but the thumbnails are over 200 characters in length...

If someone is interested in creating the poll each week, I would be grateful for that, and I will continue to host all the photographs on my Photobucket account - I plan on keeping a resource of all the competitions that occur so we can have an archive of past entries.

If I recall, you post an image in a poll the exact same way as you do in a post.


On Photobucket, mouseover any photo, and select Link Options at the bottom of the menu. Check the Clickable Thumbnail box under the IMG for Bulletin Boards and Forums heading. This will enable a clickable thumbnail.

Then, simply copy + paste that code into the poll option.

Voila.

It's the character limit in the poll that prevents using the thumbnail as a poll option... I tried origionally, but it allways says that there are too many characters...

I don't know as I've never done it, but it's widely used all over this site to have a poll with smaller pictures linking to larger ones, so there are quite a few people that know how to and it is very much possible.

Polls with url's instead of pictures are exrtemely unappealing...

Simple, (and has I do):
The images that have a good size limit (400px to either side) and are linked to the full size image, just quote that person and copy the IMG and the URL part like demonstrated:

Then copy it to word or a notepad. Do this for all entries.

For the ones that don’t are in thumbnail, or in small images, just download the large picture to your HD and upload them with the limiter (320 px in the caso of photobucket or imageshack) and change the url that in between the IMG tags (from the thumbnail url to your uploaded url).
Then, copy everything (has showed above) to the options in the poll (for each option, each image, of course).
