Oh great timing. I'm goin to the Dream Cruise tomorrow, but I'm sure someone will do something better...like always. Oh well :)

No one wins them all, it usually is a different winner every week. And as long as you keep trying - I think it will happen.

I hope you have fun at that Dream Cruise too. ^^

I'm actually gonna hold out for this one too until after Sunday. I'm going to a Volkswagen festival so perhaps there'll be something interesting there...

I thought there was a chance we might end up with a Mercedes theme. Heh.

Brilliant shots so far. They have upped the bar considerably this week...

I'll buck the merc trend...

Some stunning photos in this thread. I'm beginning to think I should have posted something a bit more exotic!

I've had an idea about these competitions in general too - perhaps, as current organiser of these competitions, LongbowX might be able to decide if it's a good idea - these threads are fantastic resources for some absolutely beautiful automotive photography.

My idea is that a sticky could be started, similar to the WikiWonderWall, where each post corresponds to one of the Auto Photo Comps and offers users the 400px links to the images used so far, all in one place? Eg. Post #1 has links to all the images from the first auto photo comp, post #2 has links to images used in the second photo comp and so on...it would be a great resource for some great images that aren't too hard on those with slower connections.

Well the Dream Cruise didn't help at all, well I didn't really look. Hopefully this one is silvery enough :nervous:.

I know, there certainly are stunning shots so far. I will have to search very hard to find anything to match up.

I haven't been running these things forever, as you seem to know. I am actually the third person, I think. I've probably done it for the last third or so. We can always collect them up though, I think they are all still here. I think it is a very good idea. Something to work on, before the summer ends.

I'm sorry to hear it didn't go as well as planned. And this one is silver enough, methinks. ^^ A good shot, as well.

I did have a look through and the pics seem to start disappearing off the organiser's photobucket account by the time you get to #30ish, but I presume the people who entered their photos into the competitions still have them and these can then be used. I certainly have mine somewhere, though I had a big break from this comp between the mid #20s and about five weeks ago, and didn't participate in the first twenty or so either. I expect some people will have to dig deeper to find theirs than others.

This would be quite the project then. We probably wouldn't be able to get all of them. Some, probably. Not all. It depends on how good people's organization is...

I should inform people that they have an extra day to get in their entries - this competition will now close on Thursday, the 20th of August, due to my unavailability tomorrow. Thank you. ^^;
