THEME: Holdenhsvgtsr and homeforsummer's words: "Open cars - anything without a roof, be it cabriolet, roadster, targa, retractable hard-top or 2CV-style roll-back roofs

I think it's probably fair, given the time of year on the Northern hemisphere, if people want to submit a photo of an open car with the roof actually closed - as long as it's still an open car it doesn't matter!"

Has to be Syntax's shot. Fantastic composition, great subject matter and although when I set the theme I said that roof-up shots would be allowed, you still can't beat a shot of an open car with the roof down (or indeed no roof...).

EDIT: And it looks like a few people agree with me :P Bit of a landslide this one...

Yes - with good cause.

I'm just thrilled that I stole some votes from it though. I don't know how anyone could, mind, when presented with both of them. :P

Well done Syntax - and thanks to people for the votes. 👍

Thanks for the kind words, oh and all the votes as well:tup: might have to add this shot into list of prospective shots for the calendar

I'm to late to vote, but I really like your pic Homeforsummer, I'm not really sure exactly why, but my best guess is; the contrasts are strong, the Car blends well with the darker background, the way the light is reflected and the fellow on the left...this is teh moment he turns his head to see what is making that sound. The smooth flowing lines of that Car are nice, what Car is it?...I like it.💡👍
Well done mate, you have captured a great shot!

Thanks 👍 I was beginning to wonder if anyone liked it!

The car is a Pontiac Solstice and it's the only one I've seen in the UK. It's running on American plates still.

I'm not sure if the guy on the left was turning his head or not actually, but it looks a little like he is in the shot which is why I kept him in the frame. I also like that it's not just a photo of a car, it's a photo of a scene.
