I have the perfect shot for this, but it's probably not legal to enter. :/

I'll be back to edit.

I have a lot of Lamboghini, but it was all wizzing past at 300kmph, and on my first proper day out with the camera, so unless the theme is "Lamborghini abstract blur", I won't be very strong.

I didn't mean to make this a hard topic to work with :/

Hmm, Lamborghini? Think I'm gonna have to do a bit of barrel-scraping...

'Kay, barrel has been scraped. Not happy, but it's the best of a bad bunch. Never been too fussed with photographing Lamborghinis...

Hmm, are you sure you didn't mean to enter this in the Model Competition? While it doesn't say explicitly in the rules that you can't enter models - there is also the Model competition. I'm not really quite sure what to do now. :ill:

:D Thanks, I actually checked a book out of the library to help me with my post shot composition and this was the one I ended up playing around with. I think it sort of looks like something out of Forza personally and if I had the car in the game I'd attempt to recreate it to see.

I could only wish to get access to such a car.

Apparently the international Concourse event (apparently the same caliber as at Pebble Beach and Villa D' Este) is coming to my home town of Manly. I have no idea how to get in, if I can in the first place, or anything like that, but I shall have to go to see some of the amazing cars that will be on display. (I'm hoping for a 250GTO :D).

And thats cool taking the initiative to check books out to get tips - but remember, look at tips and techniques, but retain your own style. Its a tricky one, and it is also apparent in art classes. 👍

I think I'll allow it for this week, but next week there will be a rule against it. It has always been implied, but not a hard rule. So I'll let it slide.

Ya the Meadowbrook Concourse is really only bested by the Pebble Beach one (or at least that's what I'm told) and I'm lucky enough to live down the street from where it's held. Typically to get in you just show up, pay a huge sum of money and walk around. Public days are on Sunday usually.

Ya I'm still trying to figure out my style and how it looks on various pictures, I mainly just got a book to figure out what all the sliders did when you imported a .CR2 image into Photoshop.

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to get in. The only reason I haven't gone to the one Joey went too is because of the price, $25 a ticket I believe. Other than that though you should be set.

I'm not lucky to be near any such car events. But...oh well. I make do with what I can actually visit. I might try to visit a few more this year...

If there is one marque I rarely photograph, it's Lamborghini. I just don't see that many! I looked though everything I have, and I had nothing. So...

Final Entry

*snip*

Same with me. Living in a small town has its downsides :( I wish I had some good shots from Lamborghini of STL. Maybe next time I go I can get something other than snapshots. It's hard to compose well in such a tight area though

Amazing entry, but it would be better if it was a little more upright. Could you provide a link to the original (as in unedited) version just for curiosity?

You just did :P.

True

It is hard to compose well in a small area... I don't live in a small town just not one that owns a lot of Lamborghini's. I have everything except Lambos. I think I could actually found one on the street I took a while ago, a Matte black Gallardo Spyder, but I forgot about that...

It's a crap entry, to be honest - I really had nothing. It's a crop from a larger image. Not the mention that shot was a throwaway, I'm not quite sure why I took it in the first place.

Nice, I'd love to see how it looks in Black and White as I think the colours are slightly distracting.

I didn't really think about putting it in black and white because I actually kind of liked the colours! However I will try it now, I'll see how it looks.

--

I think I agree with you, I actually like it a tad more. But just a little bit - I still like the colours.

And...I think I'll close this when I close the Model one. Someone else wants to enter this, I believe.

Nah, not me. I dont stand a chance as everything is semi blurred anyway. Same for the model comp. 👍

Besides, I'm typin this from the PS3.

(And I like the LP 560 with colour more :))

Mm, I wasn't talking about you - but good to know. I'm not always talking about you. :P

I'm leaving the model comp for Minolta, anyway. Though I had hoped...

It's a toss up, I don't know. They both have good qualities in an otherwise terrible shot.

Yeah 80Y, you're not always the center of attention :P

You can go ahead and close it. I tried to come up with something but I couldn't get anything worthy of even taking to an edit. Go on...
