Love the AutoVista mode especially the clarkson voice overs and the secret cars. Too bad you can't take them for a drive.

I must say, that while Autovista is indeed awesome, I tried it with Kinect. It was cool for the first time, but got old. Using the controller is better (NOT the steering wheel).

Yeah I dont have Kinect but even with the controller I hate how your view snaps back and the limited range of movement. I also just saw the colors for the 8 Litre, wonder if they are going to release those for mass consumption soon.....

I dont seriously care about autovista, it doesnt give any value to our gameplay, its like those useless functions in gt5, like washing the car, or museum cards. By the way, there are only 25 autovista cars anyway...

Its a nice feature...i only spent about 2min looking around in it last night. Racing cars > Looking at cars

I messed around with Autovista last night for just a couple minutes with the 458 and couldn't figure out a couple things.

1. I couldn't find where to get Jeremy's comments.

2. I couldn't figure out how to start the car. (you can do this, right?)

what are the secret Autovista cars?

psst... Its a secret

Jay Leno's Bentley and the Warthog from Halo

Don't forget we have Spoiler tags.

For secret stuff you want to share

They look like this:

[spoiler#] Text goes in here [/spoiler#]

Just take out the # and away you go.

Actually, you can take the autovista cars for a drive, or at least the one car I got it, I was able to start it up and take it for a lap. I test drove that Ferrari 458. I had to get out of the car and then immediately back in for the hightlights to show up. I turned the key and it went through some stuff. Then I found something that asked if I wanted to race it.

And you can take pics in autovista.

1. On the front of the car there is a symbol like the little info ones but with the Tog Gear wheel instead of an 'i'.
2. Inside the car if you look at the starter button you will get another symbol but it has a key in it.

Thanks. I was looking at the starter button and trying to figure out how to push it and I just couldn't figure it out. I guess this is the one mode that is much easier with kinect.

Love that this:

Are the same. Finally some descent resolution from Forza.

I might go back to AV every now and then but it didn't really last me long. Why couldn't they have had an F40 instead of the California? :(

Using a wheel, is it possible to get into the car.
I haven't found out how yet or if you can at all.

I like this feature. Would have been nice if every car was on there though. I'd like to here comments about cars that aren't super cars or high dollar material.

Oni
Maybe they will add a wash, and wax your car with using Kinect, lol.

Dan actually commented on them thinking of something like that but the idea got scrapped because they figured it would only be fun for about 5 minutes.

Did you guys know that when using a controller, you can hit the right analog stick to hear the horn of the car?

I figured this out the other day. I was sitting there behind the wheel and said "It would be cool if you could click down on the sticks and the horn works" then I just went ahead and did and HONK HONK, then I went to clicking and pressing everything. Didn't find anything else though :(

Autovista is fantastic imo.

Love just admiring the immense detail of the cockpit, engine bay and listening to the history of the car. Sure, it's vain and has no real practical use but then neither does the car wash in GT but I love it nevertheless! :sly:
