AVUS roadway was built in Berlin in 1921 in Berlin. It was made in a way that it could be converted from public road to race track quickly. The length was a massive 12 miles, just a couple miles short of the Nurburgring Nordschleife. After WWII, the track was shortened to 5.2 miles because it crossed into Soviet territory.
