Awards in GT6 (cars)?

Does anyone know whether we will still be awarded a car after winning a race (tournament) as it was in the previous games?

I'm asking because there is nothing said about it on the official page (only "Winning events will award in-game credits that can be used to purchase cars and parts."). I'm afraid of that the only way to obtain a car will be to purchase it (like in Forza Motorsport 5). Perhaps that is the reason why PD is going to implement virtual credits packs via DLC.

I'm guessing that they'll continue using the method done in previous GT's: Complete [xxx] Championship, get [car xxx]. I do not want them to go to the Forza 5 way as you mentioned above.

No one knows honestly.

Nobody knows man... but I can tell you I'd absolutely hate it if there are no prize cars for completing events in A-Spec mode.
Agreed. It wouldn't encourage you to do other events if there's no car awards. Plus it'll get boring if there isn't any at all.

It's entirely possible they could abandon the old route and move to the credits-only approach FM5 now has. It'd certainly be a move to push the real-cash tokens on folks - that, or the prizes for winning races will just all be cheap cars, leaving the expensive ones to those who grind or open their wallets.

The truth is, we're unlikely to know until we put it in our systems, or reviewers touch on it.

Perhaps only cheap cars will be awarded:(.

That's what I'm disliking about this generation of games. Even game developers who were not that big into micro-transactions are doing now.

Another idea is that PD might also have another way to award the players now instead of doing xxx championship or buying with real money...

That's exactly why it bothers me that much. This possibility and the fact they are going to sell credits might is kinda disturbing...

I might end up saving a few pesos and instead of buying GT6 I might end up getting a second-hand PSOne with GT1 and GT2...

Considering the payouts haven't increased nearly as much as what some of the vehicle prices have inflated into, I'm only slightly concerned too...

Don't bother with the PSOne; all PS3's play those two just fine - it's what I did last summer, anyways ;)

Yes you do. I didn't win a car for the first 2 novice events, but the third and final event is a 3 race championship after which you win what I think was the new Renault Megane Coupe. After that it was late so I can't tell about reward in B events, but so far it is very similar if not exactly as GT5.

Thanks for sharing, I was wondering about this too.
