something awesome for you guys to try out.
i have the skyline gtr v-spec and i maxed it out with all the upgrades[including the expensive turbo charger]. then i put some dirt tires in it and went to the rally courses. this thing flies on the trak. it is like drifting. it goes sideways on turns at like 70mph. but it does have its flaws. it doesnt handle as well as a rally car unless you know how to do it, and it is so light that when you go off a jump really fast it flies [not literaly, but takes off really far]. so, i enjoy it and it is definately something to try if you have the money.

Yes they do fly! (especially at Smoky Mountain) The R-33 was the first car I used for Rallying in GT3. I had a difficult time taming that car to where I could win. Once I won the Celica Rally car I focused my rallying on it. Now that I have a better understanding of tuning, I might even be able to make it win Tahiti Maze. I did use the skyline to win the wet stages after struggling with several other cars.
I won the Impreza LM and put dirt tires on it. That thing really goes insanely fast and handles out of the box.

I can't remember if it was GT3 or GT4 that I did this on but a 600hp Nismo 400R with dirt tires handles as good as most rally cars.

You know, when i was reading this and know that nissan skyline are pretty much good at... not everything, but just good car. IT can help out alot.

So, there are production, racing, tuner, and well... street as well.

Where rally racing skyline? In gt4, there like old rally skyling or something? i forgot what is was, but it look like old skyline. BUT i think PD should create a new GT rally skyline or something?

Just a idea. Mmm.

I used the GTR before and it does like to launch. You can see a lot
of the tree tops on the back straight of the Swiss Alps course. Fun stuff.
Just last week I beat the series with the Suzuki (No not that one.) The 238hp
Alto works. The 7 lap race on Smoky Mountain was a challenge as the Subaru
puts 3 seconds on you every time you go down the paved straight. Can't
make many mistakes here. The other hard one was the Swiss Alps II 7 lap
race. You can't get very sideways with the little Suzuki as it looses RPMs and
power quickly. I haven't seen much about ralley racing in GT-3 here. It is much more fun than it is in GT-4. So I hope you try lots of different cars and tell us about it.

I'm a rally fan, so every once in a while I just have to try something different. I was dissapointed that I couldn't buy dirt tires for the Mustang. But, I have set up a Lotus Elise to win at Swiss Alps. (Careful, it does like to spin) I've also done the 300zx 2 Seater to win at Smoky Mountain. Special care needs to be taken on cars with no aerodynamic aids. I've found that a quick stab at the brakes just before the end of a sharp rise will minimise the flight time and keep you on the road without sacrificing too much speed.

It used to be that there were a large variety of cars running North American rallies. Nowadays its: WRX, WRX, EVO, WRX, WRX, WRX....

So, why in GT4 did they go and cover Swiss Alps with pea gravel? It's so much sliperier. The fast bends at Tahiti Maze are much more slippy too.

I can't comment, as I haven't done much rallying in GT3 yet, but I'm reading all these great suggestions. :) I think by the time GT5 is out, I'll finally be done with GT3...

yeah, i have other rally cars but my skyline owns them. once you get used to it it is like its sliding on ice. but it is effective. i havent tried it on the tahit maze yet but i will soon. id like to see how that works out.
