Hello all, I've done some reading on this board about all the problems that people have been having with these 24hr races an I just wanted to know, is it worth it for me to try now? Or should i wait until all of this gets fixed? Also, what car should I use for these races and what settings do I use? All of my drivers are at lv 33.

Thank you

Ive Never had ANY of the PS3 AI bugs in 24Hr races so have had to Race them Fairly which I don't think is fair on My bobs. as the AI pitting early increases your led in the race..

The only feature I get AI wise is my bob missing his pit stop on the Four hour Ring races and then doing 50mph max on corners for half a lap...Bob tries to do 6 laps on one set of tires smeging bob.

Leave it off for 24 hr events.
you wont lose the race buy having tired drivers. youll lose because off to low B-spec levels or Slow car.

I've litterally won the Indy 500 just becaus I pit every 30 laps rather than every 20

X2010 Is over kill, FGT
908, R92CP, 88, R8 = lemans cars.

Normally do 33+ laps in lemans cars. your driver must be pushing harder than mine.

30 on RM tires, (up to 200 mph cornering in furai) I think I got in the 40's on RH tires... (180's-190's in furai

Any suggestions on a specific car I should use? Or should I just use the x2010?
I always tried to race fair, but this in B-spec means babysitting, which during 24 hours races I can't / don't want to afford. I've triend Le Mans with fully tuned Toyota Minolta, which should have been an easy victory. But as I returned to PS after cca 12 hours, I was 6 laps behind. :boggled: From this moment on I don't give a 🤬 and just use the X2010.

I tried the 'ring 24 last weekend in B-spec in the Toyota GT1. My main competition came from a 2001 Audi R8 and the only reason he beat me was, afaik, my idiot drivers decided to try to squeeze an extra lap out of the tyres (4 is the max...why did they bother trying?!) while I went to bed :grumpy:

So when I got up, I went from leading by about 30s after a couple hours to third, over 2 laps behind after 13! That meant the rest of my day was a bust as I tried my hardest to pull a win out of the fire and ordered my guys to go for it....I failed by a minute and a half in the end.

The 24Hours Races are kinda of a drag, but doable. Need a Level 23 car.. the higher level bob you got is best. No pit strategy. My formula was to start the race 60-90 minutes after you get home from school/work. This is important because if your driver dropped under 1st you can pit chief him back up at the end. The drag is you can't do anything but watch.
Warning... Used to do a 24Hr. race a week, but i think that it was too hard on my PS3 and burned it up...Fortunately, the machine was under warranty, so i got a replacement 4 weeks later. I dont do 24Hr races anymore because of my past experience of PS3 going down and having no PS3 for a month.

I'm at almost 7 hours of the 24 at Le Mans with an Audi R10, boosted to 788 hp, almost 3 minutes in the lead. Even though my Bobs (lv 33s) have to stay out at least 2 stints after their strength is gone completely, just to give the others a chance to rest. Anyway it's more realistic to not change drivers every time the car comes in.

We just have to squeeze the most out of the two main factors going for us in 24H races.

1) The new tire wear that tricks AI drivers into staying out for just another lap, even at Le Mans that can be an issue, to say nothing of the Nurburgring.

2) AI drivers wear themselves out entirely as the hours pass but the game doesn't tell them to not pit, or take it easy when they get caught in a dogfight with another car.

The R8s and the Pescarolo C60 Judd '05 are the main threats. Failing those, maybe the BMW V12 LMR, or a Bentley could cause trouble.

Every time I did one of the 24 hr races (usually with the X2011. Yes, I know it's overkill) one of the Pescarolos just stays in the pits and a few go on shredded tires. Just set the Bobs up with a good car (preferably the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP, Mazada 787B or the Audi R8, tuned to the max of course) and you should be fine.

The Peugeot 908 with a medium turbo got me the le mans victory while a fully tuned Furai got the Nurb 24 hours. Don't use any pit strategy for le mans as the bobs won't fully recover. For Nurb I had bob pit around 10% strength so he wouldn't drive around the track on shot tires.

I used the X2011 at 50% power for the Le Man 24H and it still won by over 100 laps. Don't want to use the FGT as it doesn't have headlights so it just seems wrong. Don't want to have to do any amount of babysitting whatsoever though so looks like I might have to stick with the X2010/X2011.
keep your ps3 in air conditioner room don't let ur ps3 get burn
I bought one of these.

My PS3 is on a shelf on my TV stand and doesn't get much air so gets very warm after a fair bit of use. This fan has got a flexible neck so I bent it so it was not far off doubled over (so that it could fit in the gap on my TV stand) and pointed it round the back of my PS3. It was still nice and cool after running the 24H Le Mans.

I ve done Le Mans twice and won by a friggin' mile on both occassions. First time i used a fully tuned Minolta Toyota, started on hard tyres, was slower than the AI so switched to medium and was on par and quicker if i babysat my bobs. Didnt matter how far behind i was coz toward the end the AI 's started pitting every single lap and i ended up winning by 8 odd laps.

Secong attempt i tried the Peugeot HDi tuned to the max. Again i started on racing medium but when my bobs were in super cool mode they were slower than the AI. So i had a revelation and switched to Hard on the rear and soft on the front. Even on super cool running my bobs were between 5-10 seconds a lap quicker plus they did 1-2 laps more between pits stops. As a consequence i was a lap ahead after 3 hours and by the time i checked this morning after 13 hours i was 6 laps in front having not babysat my bobs at all.

Wether the hard-soft combo works on other cars i dont yet know but on the Peugeot it makes th erace a doddle and kind of 'start and forget' race!

I cant believe just how stupid the AI is in this game, I'm doing the Le Mans 24 hr (again) however this time the race started at 100% moisture, im using the Nissan R92CP btw. Anyway im having a really close race with an R8 with a Bentley, Pesky and another R8 not to far behind. Then we reach the 6 hour mark and its stopped raining and drying out and it hits 70% and all the AI switches to RM.

Lucky enough i happened to look in at tha time and my BOB is trying to do the same thing! Anyway i keep him on Inters and watch the rest of the field slip and slide totally out of contention
