B-Spec Commands

What do they actually do? I know that they control the level of the drivers "stress" bar, but what does it do to our bob's driving? Does he slow down when we tell him to pace down? Speed up if we tell him to pace up?

+1 on this, would like to know how each command works, since there is a timer before you're allowed to input a new command, when does it take effect, how long does it last etc...
