I quite enjoy b spec but sometimes i find it insanely frustrating when im in a 700bhp car and cant beat 400bhp cars.
Is it sometime im doing wrong? What can i do to make my bob competitive?

I know people post stuff like this all the time but i still haven't found any advice.

B-spec is actually extremely easy ... Just make sure you keep your pace high enough that you wont fall behind, and make sure you have the best tyres available.

Yeah i seem to be doing that but i still need a massively over powered car to win.
He backs off through the corners and gets over taken and is much quicker down the straights as he has a few hundred bhp more than the others.

One of the evils with B-Spec and a true testimonial of this forum shows that people would try the level 0 B-Spec bob and expect him to race Nascar the same moment.

The Bob training does have a curve to it, till Bob gets to about lvl 10-15 he will make mistakes that will cause grown men to have a menstrual cycle in frustration. At about lvl 20-25 he starts to compete and take turns better. At the 30's he can compete in relative even cars and almost match the times of a-spec.

The lack of patience in training a Bob is what is causing most of the rage.

Ah i see
It just means i cant do new races because my driver is too slow.
I'll have to do races ive already won just to level him up until he gets good?

Buy yeah seriously, try to avoid FR/MR cars when bob is below level15-20 as he will just spin them when pushing too hard.
A decent 4WD car isn't hard to get a hold of and bob usually does well early on in them.
Once he has leveled up a bit you can freely stick him in most cars and he will do pretty good on his own.

Have to concur about using a FF or 4WD the first 10 lvs or so. Initially I did the low lv bob in a souped up ride and watched him do doughnuts on corners. My highest is 28 atm and needs limited watching depending on the race.

I've found that some Bob's just can't drive some cars.

Try racing with a different Bob or a different car... My Bob's have always been Godlike with an AWD car in their hands.

Okay thanks. I'm stuck on the Lamborghini exlusive race and the british lightweight
I was trying to use my 700 bhp murcialago and a 400bhp tvr tuscan so maybe thats why he was struggling
Would you recommend a driver with high or low or medium heat when you first choose him?

bspec starts out pretty boring (<L15), then can be fun (L15-24), but quickly turns resource consuming (L34-40).

I enjoy the XP, cars, and credits that bspec brings, but the trip to 40 is a long painful one that pretty much renders your ps3 useless for days, or even weeks.

B-spec can seem hard depending on which race you start with. The Vitz race can be tough if you don't hit it with enough 'oomph', the British lightweight can be a tough one if you don't have the right car to begin with, and if you jump up to the truck race in Amateur, it can be like running into a buzz saw.

Sometimes they take patience more than anything else, and learning when to pace up and when to pace down your driver. It's not fully automatic (doesn't run well without supervision) unless you have a killer car. Keeping your driver cooled off is tough, especially in shorter races. He gets wound up early in the race, and often finds himself in traffic, making it worse. Then he makes mistakes.

The Gallardo drives much better then the Murcierlago. But back to the topic. At first b-spec is borin as can be, but once bob(s) levels up and you get to the endurance races, you'll end up leaving him to race A LOT of the time.

vitz, british lightweights, trucks, nascar, and historic are all ones that require a little attention, but the rest are fairly easy.

Vits is rather easy for my driver, the only one my driver can't seem to do is the Lightwieght in the Amatuer League. He did the Sususka easily but when it comes to Autumn mini ring my driver breaks for no reason, very fustrating.

for GT6 (year 2015 or later :P) I suggest a Bob driving school feature, where you could teach your Bob how to brake, turn, overtake, etc...

It also would be fun if, before each race, you could tell him where and how he is acting like a retard (braking on straights, missing the apex, accelerating too hard, etc...).

This would be way better than the limited/unworking 4 command buttons that GT5 has.
