has anyone actually manage to do somewhat well in this stupid race?
my level 39 cool bob cant do better than 8th, even if i keep him cool and paced down half the race, when i try to pace up, he burns his tries, and when some other driver infront starts to slide, bob copies it exactly!
need help with this
its things like this that make me hate b-spec so much
PD what were you thinking when you made this?

Have you tweaked the setup?

I found a thread here that had a guideline on that very series and used them and won it.

I took notes from the thread and like a dummy, forgot to thank the poster. I will find that thread and do that. But, here are the notes from that thread that proved to be the magic for me, anyway.

NASCAR Tips
Race 1

Front Downforce - 45
Rear Downforce - 45
Front Breaks - 1
Rear Breaks - 0
Front Ride Height - -30
Rear Ride Height - -30
Transmission/ Top Speed - 249MPH

Just keep telling bob to overtake and he will win by a huge margin.

Race 2

Front Downforce - 45
Rear Downforce - 45
Front Breaks - 1
Rear Breaks - 0
Front Ride Height - -30
Rear Ride Height - -30
Transmission/ Top Speed - 219MPH

Race 3

Front Downforce - 45
Rear Downforce - 45
Front Breaks - 1
Rear Breaks - 0
Front Ride Height - -30
Rear Ride Height - -30
Transmission/ Top Speed - 236MPH

Dont push bob too hard on this one, otherwise you will pit in on your last lap for a tire change and lose the race.

Race 4

Front Downforce - 45
Rear Downforce - 45
Front Breaks - 1
Rear Breaks - 0
Front Ride Height - -30
Rear Ride Height - -30
Transmission/ Top Speed - 224MPH

Race 5

Front Downforce - 45
Rear Downforce - 45
Front Breaks - 1
Rear Breaks - 0
Front Ride Height - -30
Rear Ride Height - -30
Transmission/ Top Speed - 224MPH

This one is a bit hit and miss. Just hit "Increase Pace" then "Overtake" one after the other, do this constantly till you take first.

All of the above settings should work just fine on A-spec. Good luck

I agree with the last guy. Try his setups but mainly just pay attention to where he keeps burning up the tires the most an make sure to pace down before that. Also notice where he is fine to pace up. It's pretty much hit or miss but noticing the points of mistakes for me and pacing down stopped him from screwing up and losing.

Agreed 100%, watching where and when to kick and where and when to ease up on him is crucial.

Here was my setup for it.

Top Speed: 211mph

Suspension:

RHA: -20 front, -20 back.
SR: 18.5 front, 19.0 back.
DE: 9 front, 10 back.
DC: 4 front, 4 back.
A-R B: 6 front, 7 back.

Wheel Alignment:

Camber: 0.0 front, 0.0 back.
Toe: 0.00 front, 0.02 back.

Brakes: 0 front, 0 back.

LSD:

Initial Torque: 10
Acceleration: 60
Braking: 5

Downforce: 50 front, 70 back.

The trick is to use reduce pace almost throughout the track. Switch to Overtake on the bridge straight and the start/finish straight. Your tires should not wear down as fast as the others and it will stop you from spining. You should get the lead around lap 6. After this just keep your Bob calm and should win easy, seeing how the others will most likely pit.:)
