Can I remove the brakes from a vehicle? Seriously, this is just stupid. My #2 driver, Level 7, almost 8, has a 625hp Lightning with a custom 5 speed, Sports Hard tires (max allowed by series) and even the window lightening. He insists on slowing to @130mph around at least 2 of the turns.

The only reason I dumped that stupid amount of money into it was because I could not figure out how to make him win.

I tried it A-Spec, and ran @150 through all corners, flat out all the way, no brake, no problem, had 8 seconds on the field after only 3 laps. My #2 couldn't even get out front in 6.

I eventually put my tired #1 in there, who's high level 11, and a much more aggressive personality and he won.... just. .6 seconds to spare, even he used the brakes, but only down to mid 140s.

Since you can't give them specific commands or put the fear of god in them, how do you get them to lay off the brakes on super speedways?

Somebody at DP needs to be fired for this. There's no excusing such poor programming choices here. Some GT fanboy could argue that a low-level (newbie) driver isn't as skilled, and that's true, but somebody that's never raced a day in their life still wouldn't stomp the brakes and slash their speed by 40% every time they see that there's an enormous, gentle, banked turn ahead and they wouldn't tap the brakes every single solitary time they reach start/finish. These things are just a sign of mental handicap on the part of someone at DP.

(Yes, I've deliberately switched PD's initials around... twice. I generally like their work but am disrespecting them here for this matter.)

Also, while we're at it, the guy that figured it was okay to do a standing start at Daytona needs to be fired, as well.

Just had something interesting happen. I started a new driver, when going through the names, I found van der Ween. And in my head I immediately heard Dr Evil "You crazy Dutch Bastard!", and I knew I had to get an aggressive driver personality, and did.

So I put him in the White Lightning (I waited to find a white one lol) and threw him at Daytona. I was constantly pushing him, and he got jacked by other trucks a few times, but he still managed 2nd in the first time out.

He still hits the brakes too much, but not as bad as my Finn (#2). He's much more aggressive, and had good braking skill. YET.... is level 0 (at the time) to #2's level 7. I wonder if it has something to do with aggression as much as skill?
