I recently purchased a Benz SLK320. What modificatios would be great for this car to race in the Legend of the Silver Arrow for Beginner's League?

Hi, AP1.

I ended up having to add way too much power and suspension work to the SLK. Plus, you're going to win another one. I found that by the time I added enough parts to take the series, it ended up costing almost as much as the CLK would have.

If I can make a suggestion, I'd sell the SLK and buy a CLK. That should only need T2 tires and a Sport suspension to beat the other Benzes.

If you can't afford that, I would say go with Turbo 1, Racing Transmission, and at least Sport suspension if not Race. Run T3 tires or so.

Dunno... I used the SLK. That's why I'm suggesting you try the CLK!
;)

Then what would be the quickest way to buy a CLK55 AMG? That thing is like $94,000!!! Race in Turbo League over and over again? Ugghhh...circles...

*Ahem* I only completed 8.5% of the game, and still in Beginner's League (yeah, slooowww...). I'm thinking if racing the B.L. Type R Meeting three times, then I'm getting my CLK in that Red Metallic, and kill every car in the game.

SLK has 390 HP fully tuned...CLK has 565 HP fully tuned....The power to weight ratio of the CLK is also lower...2.361 compared to 2.887 of a SLK...Also, SLK has a turbo so it would be harder to control while the CLK is naturally aspirated so would be easier to control.

Just to clarify - I tested them on Laguna, both fully modded, on T3s front and rear, with the gears set up so they almost redline over the course of the start/finish straight. Suspension/lsd/tcs settings were a twicked version of Fumes' setup off gtvault. SLK came out about a second ahead from what I remember. Even though it has worse power-to-weight it's able to utilize the power much better.
