Does anyone like to go a certain direction on specific tracks, even if it's a real track and there IS no backwards option?
What about if you like to go a certain direction on a specific track but the room you are in happens to be on the opposite direction?
Does anyone else get an extra thrill from driving the opposite direction from everyone else ? I think it's heaps of fun.
I'll always dive into the grass, or stop and pause to wait for traffic instead of causing a crash.
for safetyness, I will always type a message like "People, do not be afraid, I will be driving backwards but I will not crash into you. If we are passing on a straight I will drive on my left side of the road, opposite of america" before I commence driving reverse.
Today I was told it was fine to drive backwards the way I was doing, but unless I had someone to tandem with I had to drive regular direction or else be kicked <=/
So . . . What are some of your favourite tracks that MUST be driven in a particular direction?
For me it's grand valley. Grand Valley shouldn't even have the option for forwards, I have no idea why everyone doesn't realize the track is stupid forwards. In the reverse direction, instead of going full speed with a straight brake into a hairpin, you have 2 large sweepers to drift / slow down before TWO hairpins. In the forwards direction, especially grip races, these hairpins are diluted to an 'interesting' chicane.
in the reverse direction, before entering the second tunnel from the bridge, you have the opportunity to rub your bumper along the rail as you enter two larger hairpin type corners. In the next tunnel, AGAIN you have the opportunity for a realllllllly long perpendicular entry, to rub your bumper on the wall . . . after this theres a little dipsy-doodle, the hairpin thing and some sweeps before the final hairpin and away we go again.
Does anybody like the Nordschleife in reverse?
