Bangle's new design theme?

Erhm, I seriously doubt that they'd use this body for any vehicle. This is a developmental car. Check the windows and you'll see full lcd monitors and computers in there. It's a testbed for a chassis I think, not a concept car.

If not that, then it's a prank news report ;)

I was aware of that, but it's the first time I've ever seen a car manufacturer decide to use such a hilarious "design" on a mule (in public). It's not quite like how Ferrari does it.

The Bangle thing was just a joke from my side, BTW. :dopey:

I've seen that done a few times, it's rare but does happen.

That thing looks like an armoured car from WW2. I think it looks slightly better than some of Bangle's work though *cough* BMW Z4 *cough*

You can't tell the car's design from those pics at all. I agree, it's pretty heavy duty camouflaging.

looks like it's on its rims. maybe it's going back to WW1 without the use of pneumatic tires.

The one thing I didn't know about Chris Bangle is that he is American. For some people, this is "an American screwing up a highly-successful German automobile company." As far as this thing goes, all of a sudden, it looks like I'm a soldier in either World War II or the Vietnam War. One of my comrades took a full metal jacket to his right shoulder, and I need a Medic vehicle to carry him off.

The most recent BMW deal that I liked was the BMW M6. If this is the future of BMW design, you can kiss BMW fans goodbye, much as Subaru's most recent corporate face isn't liked by many people. If cars are going to be uglied up any further (even concept cars), then someone needs to step up and become head designer. I liked the styling of the late 1990s and early 2000. But nowadays, I guess it's safe to say that Chris Bangle is the Herman Tilke of designing cars.

An Australian with a hillbilly farmer accent? Kind of a mismatch there, but I understand you.

I personally think the Z4 is a masterpiece of modern automotive design, have since the very first time I saw one.

Maybe I'm not the hill-billy that would say it... Maybe someone we're all talking about that is AMERICAN? With a last name similar to a certain type of bad-taste girly accessory often worn on the arms? 💡

I don't think it really matters what car enthusiats think, BMW's sales are increasing throughout the lines (5,6,7 series sales increased after the redesign I think). The only thing it needs to lose is iDrive.

seriously. iDrive is wacko.

Wow man, Chris is really out of his mind. He just draws on paper and all the BMW uppers just nodd in agreement. You're right it sells cars, but I honestly don't think the new look is what is selling these cars, I think Chris just got lucky and redesigned the cars around the same time people who "almost" had the money to buy a bimmer of their choice, now DO have the money too. I really don't think that it's his style that is selling the BMW's more than it is the fact that they are BMW's and people have $. The 6-3 series' is the only think he's put out that I think looks nice from the exterior, everything else has a prior model, before his designs that looks one hell of alot better.
7's are just rediculous, and the M5 is a great platform, but gimmie the old box anyday.
Oh well, I hate the guy for changing what I love, but I can't blame him for making $$$..

This is still to be explained. No car company is this stupid.

The 5 and 6 series cars are awesome. Free your mind and your arse will follow.
