Now to the best part. This year during the Scottsdale Barrett Jackson classic car auction, SPEED and Ford are teaming up to give away a modified GT500 Mustang in the Fantasy Bid game. Super stoked about this, even though I have no chance of winning. I'm going to give it my best! :D

Here's more info:

If you have the time, and are planning on watching the auction this year, give it a shot. 👍

Edit 2: More info -

This car is NOT being given away to the person with the most points. Everyone that enters the contest itself, get's an entry to win the car. To give you an idea of the odds, last year nearly 700,000 people participated. :scared:

I was hoping for the 60's model. :( Oh well, I'm going to have to watch it as that would be quite something to watch.

I watch it every year. Even been a few times. I think I'm going to give the fantasy auction a try this year as I never had before.

Even the one they show in the commercials doesnt look any different

Edit: Never mind. That looks like a pretty serious car.

That's awesome, I'd obviously love to win that, thrash about in it for a week, then sell it and get something else! :P

I'd have to sell it anyway, since I couldn't afford to pay the taxes and register it. :P

Edit: and insurance....whooo.

Bumping this to the top.

The first round of fantasy bidding starts tomorrow at 5pm MST. (7pm EST)

I've also learned that you receive one entry for each bid you make, so the more fantasy bids you submit over the course of the auction, the better chances you have of winning the car.

Also, I read the fine print and they are including a check with the car that will cover the costs of the taxes. 👍

Good luck everyone! :dopey:

I was hoping the stream would have the Speed announcers, but it's got the audio from the auction itself. Hopefully they change that for tomorrow, or have some other way of letting us know which cars we need to bid on.

Oh I didn't know this started already. I think I'm gonna skip watching it today, I'm feeling lazy, I don't feel like getting up.
