Basic GT6 question.

Gt5 was a huge disappointment for me. You couldnt put wider tires on cars... the first and most basic car mod. Ps2 cars were called "standard" but were substandard. ... misaligned textures.... black blotches..... poorly translated models with ZERO work done on transfer. Cars sounded like ****. 50 different FD rx7s when all was needed was the one premium model and maybe add an Alfa gtv6 or something.

See when I play a ps3 game I dont want to hear 2003 sound effects or see cars drive past me with massive black blobs of misaligned non touched up texture. Is this game going to be worth buying this time around? Im not 18 anymore I dont waste my time and money on mediocre games and im hoping that this isnt one of them because until gt4 this was the best car franchise period.

If those are your reasons for GT5 being disappointing, than you'll most likely be disappointed with GT6 too.

Rent it and see if you like it.
Actually this is a good idea idk why I never rent games.

I think this game will be much better than GT5, but I still think that GT5 was good, but not better than GT4.
Well the only reason I bother is that it DOES sound good. I just want them to at least clean up the ps2 graphics I dont expect new models. However the inability to put wider tires on would seriously enrage me. Every time I buy a car and I want to mod it that is the very first thing I do and it is annoying driving a pulsar gtir with 190 series tires. Bicycle wheels. Though I dont think that is in gt5 because it would take one of the 10 3000gt slots im sure there are comparable examples.

Also forza looks horrible even in basic features so there is no alternative. Aside from the fact that I wont buy a one lol

Unless you found something positive with GT5. Skip GT6 and the series for that matter, it's not for you.

It's gran turismo!! What other games are on par with it....none for realism (console wise).

We understand how you feel, many people are frustrated at the game. But coming to a fan forum to have anonymous strangers tell you whether it's "worth buying this time around" probably won't get you where you want to go. Wait till it hit's the shelves and rent it and/or come back here to see what GTP thinks of the game. You'll get all sides here, good and bad.

We have seen a picture of wide and narrow tires, along with a "wall of wheels". Watch the very first intro video and pay CLOSE attention to the pics.

Do what I do whenever I'm on the fence about a title: Wait for a nearby Gamestop to have it pre-owned. Go buy it pre-owned. If I like it, I keep it. If not, I return it and get my money back. It's like a free 7-day rental. Only expense being gas money and the initial deposit.

Edit: For the people who don't do this, the point is that you will get a FULL refund (including tax) on pre-owned if it's returned within 7 days. Or if it's by like... January 15th or whatever around the Holiday season.

Well, if you hated Gran Turismo 5 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND not to bother getting this one because I have a feeling people are going to be disappointed if the sounds are still not that impressive. I really liked GT5 but I understand people's opinions because the sounds can really ruin the experience.

For crying out loud. It's just a game. I bet you spend a lot in video games every month or so like many people; games that you'll probably play for just a week or so. I've said it many times; the value that GT offers is pretty much the best you can get. Even if you're pissed of at it like most of us were when GT5 went out, you will still play it for years. No other racing game does that.

Either if you like GT or not, it is pretty much the best racing game you can get for a console right now. If it's just being mad at PD for the strange way they prioritize things, then buy an Xbox One and get Forza 5. That game looks really nice and a great (although expensive) alternative.

That depends where you live. Here (and the states too I think), once the seal is broken, its used and they'll "buy" it from you

No, that's what I mean't. Wait until it's pre-owned (which is used). There's no seal to be broken. That way you can still get your money back within the 7 days if you have a receipt. The only downside is that you have to wait until someone sells the game.

yeah when i first got GT5 and played it for a week or so, i was pretty disappointed with it... but... i came back to it after a few months then got hooked. played it heaps every year since getting it.

I would be quite happy with PS2 graphics, if it meant more features, better gameplay and more cars on track.
A gift for you:
