BC7 Announced - *September*

Seems I posted this in the Specialized OLR team forum yesterday and nobody could see it other than people with access from days gone by So I am copying it here for others to consider also 👍

Just giving you guys the heads up to get some drivers arranged .. I already posted the info at Rollers and GTtimes also The next BC being held at GTChallenge has been announced to start in September and the rules etc will be posted in the next few days ... best get your teams ready guys 👍

It would be nice to have one last horray in the form of a bc before gt4 is toast So I'm hopping that gtp will get a team together, there are some fast drivers still on the wrs so it should not be a problem, I'll run elsewhere if they will have me

I have just been reading the threads at the French board. They have been planning this since February and now has sort of a time schedule ready.

I very much doubt they'll be capable of getting any kind of rules or the needed BC organization ready before GT5 is out.

I really hate to sound so negative, as I too very much would like to see a last BC with GT4. The BC's really has a special feeling and spirit about them, which is well worth all the hard work (and all the frustrations). 👍

The BC7 race details and schedules are already written up and we are simply waiting for a kind person to Translate them from French into English as Manu is not 100% with English! .. as soon as they are translated they will be posted, The BC will happen in September without a doubt 👍

Does GTP have a team in the making? ... It would be cool to have a final GT4 BC Friendly battle between GTP and Rollers and see how it pans out

I can translate his tentative rules, race details and schedule to english this week-end if he sends them to me today.

Edit : Ron, you're right, only people who were part of the GTP BC team have access to the BC forum where you posted. That pretty much narrows the visibility of the initial thread. ()

Why are we having a new set of rules when we have a perfectly good set of rules (teams have already agreed to) from the last BC. All that needs to be done is to make amendments to them if required.

I think thats basically the best course of action also Jerry .. I reckon he will go with the BC6 rule book and slightly amend tiny parts here and there, suppose we will find out soon enough

Agreed.
I proposed to chat with Manu tomorrow night. I want to see what he's done, and spot the potential good ideas. But I will strongly suggest him to use existing BC6 rules.

The BC is imminent guys and will take part in less than 1 month as far as I know! .. best get a team GTP ready if you wanna make the show
in the past GTP has had a team in all the other 6 BC's and finished very respectably lets see how the new guys can perform against pretty much the best GT players from all corners of the globe

Someone needs to take the role of captain asap and assemble a team of 10 drivers and 2 substitutes ... The BC will consist of 10 races and all will be in Arcade mode, they can range from a Tar race to Rally also they could be single lap or multilap lap events.

You must definitely have a replay device at hand as all replays are scrutinized by multiple people to be sure the lap is legit in everyway possible 👍
This is the time to play as a team and represent your home forum against other forums with the same idea in mind ... kicking some ass

I wish I could race in BC7 but I seriously doubt I could keep up (haven't been playing much GT for a while now).
None the less, if there is a qualifier, I might put in a few laps.

In any case, I'd like to see the GTP do well. 👍

I think maybe this thread is still being overlooked by the majority of racers

I was thinking maybe a kind mod could move it into the WRS section for a week or 2 to see if it gets the attention it deserves? the sign ups are closing roughly 31st August and I would not like to see GTP miss the deadline due to a badly placed announcement by myself! .. So if you could, whichever mod see's this first! put it in the WRS section and give GTP a crack at the whip 👍

First thing we need is a Captain, preferably someone from the old timers who already ran several BCs. Anyone up for the job ?

I'm up for racing, FWIW. I don't have an extreme amount of time on my hands, but I'd make some. A bit of help getting fast initially could possibly be useful though.

Indeed. GTP needs a Captain first. Someone who will gather the team. Quickly and efficiently.
When the team is done, here is the next step :

All team members : Drivers, Captains and Co-Captains need to register to the time submission site, so they can logon and send or modify times, or upload replays.

Teams will be typed in manually by the BC7 administrator (Manucobalt), but this requires team members to be registered, so please register ASAP.
