It seems weird to be considering a corvette for a beater or a sleeper.
I race 500 PP cars at the Nurburgring online and everyone considers this car slow due to its lazy front end, however I have managed to turn it into a beast. I didn't see it, or anything too similar on the list.
It also seems weird that this is somehow considered a mark of success, something to aspire to and save your retirement for. Doubly so when you consider that the ingress/egress was finally fixed for this and subsequent models. And since the Audi quattro kept up with it in battle, does that also make the SUV a "supercar"?
McClaren, but isn't that a picture of a late 5-Series model...?
...ah, never mind, it's a standard procedure getting the wrong car pictures for COTW, no need to complain about it.
You actually looked at the car in the background.....?
Well, the front headlights are somewhat similar to those found in a 5-Series, so if I am wrong at least I have a justifiable reason to explain my misunderstanding, haha.
I can only assume he was busy because here's what I found after 5 minutes.
Touché.I know that your ISP speed is 10x better than what mine is, yet this took only 30 seconds. What took so long?

LOL I think you "should have gone to SpecSavers" @photonrider 'cause I swear that's Barbie's mom, you 🤬 dog you!
Good win on the seasonal though - I think I only scraped in about a second ahead and that was in the GTO (Ferrari, not Pontiac).
Same here.

Granted it's slightly visually modified, but it IS a 3 series, it is also an M3 just by comparing the stock exhausts to these ones.
But to be fair I was going for classy and correct, not assy and incorrect.
well after some TT action with the BMW at the High Speed Eifel...
@McClarenDesign in second at the moment with a 2:32.026

I'm about to try out the TT if anyone wants to join for some practice laps.
Also, I re-tested the Ford Mustang Boss 302 '13 and, after some struggling, managed a clean lap of 1:21.1 which is the exact same time as the M3. I was 0.408 seconds faster this time in the Boss 302, but, like the BMW, could not for the life of me break into the 1:20's. Still, it amazes me that the M3 is as quick as the Boss.
The Ford has 1,000 more cc's of engine displacement, 28 more horses, 85 more ft-lbs of torque, and weighs 8 kg less than the BMW. So why isn't it faster? Well, gearing, suspension, and weight distribution play major roles. The BMW has perfect 50:50 weight front to rear, while the Ford is nose-heavy at 54:46.

Does BMW stand for Beater Makes Work???
Cheers
Wow... I know there are many variables here in GT6, and they affect different cars differently but YIPES!
I had less than 100km's on my 2007 M3 Coupe but after just 625 km's on her, Mellissa at GTAuto is telling me its body rigidity has already begun to deteriorate!
