Both versions are nice Beerzgood.

Thanks, glad you liked it! :) and thanks for visiting, drop by every now and then.

Nice blur man! I like how it looks in this angle. But the car could use a little more cleanup. 👍 But anyway the blur is very well done. You're getting better very fast.

Thanks for your comment, I liked how the blur came out too, but found it extremely difficult to pin-point the origin of it.
About the clean-up, what about it? What did I missed or didn't clean welll enough?

Always room for improvement. :)

EDIT: Update tomorrow

I try to visit as much as I can, but I hope you can drop by my gallery again sometime.

Here's a new update. A little due, but it's here.
As usual, doesn't look half as good here at work as what it did at home, but I'll correct part of it tonight.

Please comment, people. thanks.

I know I said it wasn't going to have a blurred BG, but it looked really bad with it still...

Again good use of blur on this shot. I also like the camera very much, great capture man!!
Just one thing, did U use some grain filter (looks grainy in my monitor)?? If U do, try not having grain next time, the shot will be much cleaner. But still looks very good:)
Continua assim q tás no bom caminho (keep up the good work)👍

I thought that you where a old hand here Beer? You always seemed to be around the comps and entering them. But the gallery seems to be going well at the moment. Some nice shots and keep it up. Check out my gallery if you have time.

That Opera Z shot is stunning. I have no words, it's just looking perfect!

I like the way the car model looks in this shot, it's very smooth and looks angry! The location for the shot is neat too, it's an angle you don't often see in GT Photomode.

However isn't the car usually white? It looks really grey in this shot, have you tried selecting the car and then adjusting the colours a little to get more of a bright paint effect?

I really like the shot, like Mog said it looks very smooth and a great angle.
I must admit that I do not like the car though, that bumper looks butt ugly imo. :D
Your Chaparral is very cool, love the colours. Keep up the good work. 👍

Very nice pic! it is very realistic

Thanks for your comment, happy you liked it!

Very nice gallery. You're off to a great start. All the shots are very nice. Keep up the good work and update often:D

Thanks for the very positive comment, cod! :) I'm already working on a few updates. And thanks for visiting, don't be a stranger.

NTX, thanks for your kind words. 👍
Yeah, it looked grainy, didn't look as good to me as it is now (I changed it to a clean version). The blur is actually 4 or 5 blurs - can't remember for sure, I think they came out ok too.

Good to know you like my shots, thanks.
And yeah, I waited some time before starting off with my own gallery, because
I wanted to 'skip a few steps' on the learning scale, as far as having those steps shown on the gallery. But I'm actually registered on GTP since 2003, long before GT4, so... :D

A very nice, clean and realistic shot:tup:

Great job beerzy:tup:

I appreciate your comment, Tommi. And... only my mother calls me beerzy.

Thanks, dude. I wouldn't go as far as 'perfect', since there's a few things in there that I don't like, but don't have what it takes, knowledgewise - YET - to make it look better. And thanks for always cheking my updates. 👍

1st of all, thanks a lot for checking my gallery, really appreciate it. :sly:
I liked the agle of the shot a lot when I forst took it, but it's been hiding amongst the "one-day-I'll-work-on-you" shots, since only recently I had access to CS2, and the 6.0 wouldn't clean that pic ever.
And no, the car's original color is silver grey, I'll try to post the original shot for comparison.
I got rid of the Nissan badge - looked like a pidgeon poo. Even tried importing one from the Phototravel mode, but was equally awful, and I think it make it more personal like that.

I really like the shot, like Mog said it looks very smooth and a great angle.

Thanks for the comment, Drift. I tried a few things I haven't tested yet while cleaning the car, most of them had good results, I'm happy with the smoothness too.
And glad you liked the Chaparral, was actually my first attempt at that style, the other one was the posted on the 'Evil' comp, but that was a frontal shot.
Colors were a pain to get the way I wanted to, but ended up being the thing I ow like best on that shot, specially on the tarmac.

Hi, sorry for being so late. I'm going to star with the modded 350Z... You made a nice chop, it's difficult to keep the natural look of an original image, but you fitted all elements in a correct way. The color match of both cars is a noticeable detail.

The evil entry is nice too, it could be entered the final poll but that's what a competition is...

The Chaparral looks also good. The blur effect really works in this. I usually dislike the green filter, basically because all original GT4 photos has a geen tone over them. In this case isn't bad, like people uses orange, blue and other color filters.

Finally, the Opera is a hard base to modify because the flat lighting inside every tunnel. It could be nice to add some "volume" burning and dodgering the important areas. That light dynamism should be work enough to fix this fact, even working in some bright reflections to be better. Anyway the close angle looks quite clean, and that's very important before start working in more elements.

Keep working, you gallery is still young :D

1st, thanks for commenting on all the gallery (lucky for you it's still a baby-gallery). 👍

On the modded 350Z, I believe that was the first and last time I got into something like that, took forever to get it ready for the comp.
And I shrinked the image a bit too much, some of the sponsors in black on the side of the car that were perfectly sharp and blended on the paint can't be distinguished anymore.

The evil entry was a disapointment for me too that it did not get in the final poll, but after Moglet explained his reasons I understood his point of view. No big problem there. :)

The Chaparral, I was pretty happy with the way the blur came out too, glad you liked it. But it's not a green filter I used, I made a whole new gradient filter with a few colors, spaced out to fit the different parts of the image.

The Opera Z was hard to get right (sort of), since all of the visible car is right there in front of your eyes, and any part that didn't look good would pop and ruin the whole image. And since it was my first big clean-up, I'm fairly happy with it.
I spent a lot of time adding the light spots on the hood, bumper and side mirrors, and the different blurs used were a pain to get decent, on every different part of the tunnel.

Thanks for visiting!

Like I said, I found the original OperaZ pic. Here it is...

Thanks for commenting in my gallery, beer!

Now its your turn to get a comment! I looooove the "evil" shot. THe colors and clean up are fantastic. This new 350z update is nice too, a little bland, but very good clean up. I look forward to some more updates!

I've been looking throughout your gallery, do you have any experience with Photoshop? You really surprised me with the Z shot, it's really clean 👍 I like the location as well, you don't see too many at that corner these days, very nice 👍 The colours fit the shot nicely as well, I seriously got to give that car a try some time 👍 You're improving at an incredible rate, keep it up! 👍

The only thing I might recoomend though is to use the dodge tool a little bit if you'd like to try it out, there are some reflections and lines which you let stand out even more if you run some slight dodge along the edge 👍

Thanks for visiting, D_P!
I liked how the clean up went on that 'evil', specially because it was the 1st time I used CS2 to do it, it's a lot easier than with the 6.0.
The Z, I tried to give it a bit more 'volume' (if that's what you're refering), but didn't know how to. Glad you liked it anyway. :)

As far as PS experience, I've been using it for some years now, but mainly I did previews of how my paintings would look like (oil paintings), and modding and creating electric guitars by order. I never used some of the stuff I started using since I post pics here before, so I'm still learning A LOT. :
Very happy you liked the Z too, and I did use the dodge tool at some points on the shot, only very subtle (too subtle?).
I'm currently working on a few pics at the same time, where I'm using it in a more - I hope - correct and realistic way. I'd like to know what you think of them once I post them.
I really appreciate you visiting and commenting on my gallery, ultra.

you certainly have something great hanging in this gallery, mate!

hmm, maybe I should do more cleanup myself. (just how...:scared:)

I like your pictures Beer! Suprised me as well. I still work with a little older version of photoshop as well but I don't know how old to be honest.
I thought I just had Photoshop CS, not CS2.
Oh well, but nice pictures man, definatly gonna check this gallery more often:tup:

I got an electric guitar too btw ;) Just had lessons for 2 months now, still a beginner, but I'm learning ^^

Thanks, glad you liked it. :) About the clean-up, check the tutorials, they're really helpful, I'm still fairly new to clean-ups as well.

I was still using 6.0 up until very recently, and although it's not limited at all, there's just some stuff you do with CS2 that would at least take twice the time to get decently done with the 6.0.
Hope to see you here again when I post my new update.
About the guitar, I've been playing for about 18 years now, and never get tired of it. Besides, it's a hell of a way to release stress if you crank the distortion and volume knob and just let it rip...

There is just something about that 350Z pic...

Teriffic use of blur. 👍

Thank you very much for your comment, man! That alone was worth the time I took working on the image. 👍

:)
Yup. Tomorrow I hope.

Opera Z - Part II (and last)

I'm just polishing the final details, should be all done by tonight.

The Z looks very interesting, sorta rustic(?)
the speedin' Chapparal is nice too, You do clean shots.
Check out my gallery :D

Thanks for your comment, Tulok. 👍

Like promised, update today.

OPERA Z - PART II

I had to rush the finishing of this one, and it shows.
But I'm going to have a surgery tomorrow so I wanted to post it today.

Nice pic dude! But what's up with the rim? It's all... "grainy" But I do like the reflections and stuff. Never really noticed the exhaust tips, they look sweet. Well done 👍

Very nice shot! I like what you did to the exhausts. Sadly the rims are a bit jagged and some other small things could need a little surgery (but you already said that you'd do that). Hope to see that soon! 👍
