The cleanup is better then what I can do I must admit and the lines are close to perfect, looks like you took my advice into account 👍 But son't be afraid to make the dodged line larger to have an even greater effect 👍 The rims look a little bit unfinished. The outside looks blocky so I suggest going to your Filter list, selecting the "Liquify" tool and set it to your likings to get these outward pointing pins which make the rim look so blocky, inward 👍 The lens flares you used tohugh, are a little too bright, especially on the rim...And I'm not a fan of the flamed look-a-like exhausts but all in all, your best work yet! 👍

Good luck with your surgery, I definitly hope to see you in the 2.0 Tournaments, you'd make an excellent battle for all of us! 👍

the exhaust tips is what made me take this shot in the 1st place, then ended up being the car's part that I messed less with.

Very nice shot! I like what you did to the exhausts. Sadly the rims are a bit jagged and some other small things could need a little surgery (but you already said that you'd do that). Hope to see that soon! 👍

You're so right about the rims, I hate them like they are now.

I meant surgery literally, I'm going to 'OR' tomorrow morning, then I'll be home a few months recovering. But nevertheless, I'll still perform a small surgery on that shot.

No way, my cleanup is nowhere near as yours. I still remember the Monaro shot you entered the last tournament, you know?
And you're right about the dodging on the lines, I totally agree with you. Your advices have always made me improve my work, I'll definitely try it like that on my next shot.
About the rims, believe it or not, I used the liquify, but they were so bad that I quitted after a while, before ruining them. they were even worse than they are now, the blocky pins were more than twice the size they are now.
I'll try shooting another rim that looks good on that car and pasting it there.
The lens flares are too bright, but not on my stupid home monitor, which misleads me with the brightness and tones. and as I had them on the same layer as the clean car, not much I could do after about it.
The pipes are really like that on that car, check it out. I didn't change anything major in there.

And many thanks for your wishes on my surgery, I'm really nervous about it.
I'll give my best to enter the tournament (if I qualify, that is).

Well, apparently this kind of shots doesn't get many people commenting on them.
It will happen again, since I'll try some new things every now and then, not going to do motion blurred and smudged shots all the time.

Here's my tournament entry that made it to round 1.
I wanted it to be a bit artistic, and aimed for a different look than I expected would be the most common entries and I think at least the 'different' part I nailed, it doesn't look like any of the other entries.

I made this one in a bit over an hour, since I had to get my stuff ready to go to the hospital for my surgery, so there's still a few things I'd like to have fixed and improved.

I voted for your qualifying shot IIRC, I love the composition of it and the cool looking rear clusters on the Evo really help it stand out. The colours are very nice IMO.

Anyway, it has great colour, the best thing about it actually. The angle is very interesting, but the colour is what captured me most and what set it apart from the rest.
That is what I am going for in my Round 1 entry, interesting colour. Hope it works for me.

Also, I like your experiment shots. Nice colours. I love the look of the first one. Keep up the good work Beerzy and good luck with your recovery and in the Tournament. 👍

With yours makes 3 votes I didn't get but was 'meant to' - you, Jgda and Loon. Probably my image wasn't showing when you viewed the poll, happened a few times.
Apart from cleaning the car and the car's lines, color took me a while to get the way I wanted to, I ended up using 4 adjustment layers of color balance and gradient maps with 2 different blending modes, apart from the curves and levels.
