Very nice work on the Eclipse Beerzy, I love the lighting and colour. That gradient map really works well with Motegi.

Keep up the good work. đź‘Ť

Thanks, Drift! It had some more work than just the gradient map, but yeah, it suits it like a glove. :)

Now, on to my update. Alfa GT - Piazza San Marco

I had this shot on my pendisk since forever, and it was taken with low brightness, which made it lose a lot of information (that's why the rims look like crap) when viewed on a monitor.
Still, I decided to give it a shot at cleaning this car that I love so much.
Let me tell you, that front has to be the most complicated to clean out of all the GT4 cars, or at least it seemed that way during the countless hours...
And I like the way it still has the GT4 focus, I haven't touched that part of the image.

It's not perfect, but what is? :)

Click to view it full size and check out the details

Thats really nice Beerzy looks incredibly clean as well. The car is so well placed in that shot. Check out my gallery if you have time.

Very nice Beerzy... mmmm beer.

Clean up is excellent. I actually like the way the wheels look. They look quite realistic. Overall the car is very realistic as well. I was going to use the same car in a photoshoot soon but I think I'll pass as I don't believe I could create as good of a shot as yours;)

Beerz thats a +rep shot, but I can´t give it (U must know why).
That Alfa is so clean and I love the reflections, gives a truly realistc mood to the picture. The headlights and rims are also looking good in details!!!
This gallery is hot, so bring soon another hot update:)

Yeah, beer's always good. đź‘Ť
I had some work on the wheels, the tyre and the dark spot in the wheel arch were one and the same, so I had to redraw the tyre, and the rim gave quite a bit of work to look somewhat decent, it was screwed up pretty bad.
And go on and take the shots of this car, your style is so much different than mine, that they'll surely look awesome as always. I cant wait to see them on your gallery.

Thanks in advance for the upcoming rep, bro!
I tried to manage the reflections so that they wouldn't lose their 'paintjob' quality, I'm pretty happy with it.

Wooow this is a great shot beer! đź‘Ť I love the great detail in it. The hoodlines (:dunce: ) look really good. Also the colour stands really out. I also like the fact that the light of the headlights aren't too shiny around them if you know what I mean.

cheers

Oh! Great photo! It's even quite reallistic on some parts with that combinatoin of details, color and lights đź‘Ť

Wow, the Alfa looks amazing. I love the strong Red and the rims look great too. The blur in the background makes it look like its been parked infront of a huge oil painting, and that seems in keeping with the spirit of the Alfa.

This surpasses everything I've ever done, great job!

The car is soooo clean, the lines look perfect besides the dodged line on the left hood line (near the camera) which is dodged just a little too much đź‘Ť But everything else is wonderful, the detail, just everything is better than everything I've ever done myself!

It looks awesome, the reflections are especially well carried out. You managed to keep the car looking quite realistic, not like the vectored effect that I tend to keep getting!

The only thing I can see that could be improved are the bonnet shut lines. They stand out a bit too far, and are a bit on the thick side. Also, since there is a bright light shining on the car, the left side of the bonnet should have less obvious shutlines as they would be blended into the brightness a little more.

But that's just me nitpicking now, it's a well composed image that looks very neat indeed. đź‘Ť

Stunning mate! Both eclipse and Alfa are simple amazing
Great details and flawlessly done :D đź‘Ť

Thanks, fred! Yeah, I know. I had a hard time cleaning around them to really make them disappear without making the rest look foo flat.

Thanks a lot, alex! Glad you liked it. đź‘Ť

Thanks for your comment, Menown. I liked the way you described the image, well thought. :)

Wow Beez that Alfa is so amazing and so clean ! Great work :)

Thanks, jeremy! :)

Woah, that's a mighty comment, Bram! Why are you saying that? You've done truly amazing things already, and keep doing them. You're easily one of the best around, and like I already said a few times before, I still remember the Monaro you entered on the last tournament. :) THAT was truly inspirational and phenomenal.
And I agree with you on that line dodging (and a few things more that I'm not happy with). Yeah, a lot of work into this one, all the plastic grills and most of what you see in the front was so mucked up, I had to redo just about everything.
And dodging the grills so that they'd still look like plastic wasn't easy.

It's just incredible!

Thanks, Vince! Looking forward for your next update. :)

Nitpick at will, Mog. I appreciate constructive criticism, how else will I improve? đź‘Ť

You're totally right, they came out too thick. I only realized that near the end, when I looked at it more carefully, but the hood was already completely finished and I didn't want to mess it up. I'm guessing, about that blending bit, that the moment the lines thinned up, they'd automatically blend better, especially the one on the left, relating to the brightness level.
Once again, thanks for your comment.

Thaks a lot franz, for dropping by and leaving an inspiring comment like that! Don't be a stranger! đź‘Ť Oh and... you're the flawlessly one. ;)

On to my next update.
It's the R390 Road Car (some of you might know it as a "nissan-fast-blue-car-or-whatever"), since it's very rarely seen around here.
I actually thought of using this one for the Elegance comp (hey, I think it has elegant lines), but figured it didn't stand a chance against some of the entries in there, so I saved it for my gallery instead.
It was a lot worst textured than I thought, and so it required a lot of cleaning, mainly the lines and the reflections (lots of them...).

Tell me what you people think.

Spotless clean up, well at least it looks like it from my untrained eye. I really should learn how to clean up my images properly. Great work as usual Beerzy

Look at this!! I love how you made that car look. The doorlines look particullary good in this one. Also the reflections are stunning. Most of all those on the hood. What really caught my eye are is the sun reflected on the ground which looks very real. Maybe you didn't do anything to it but still looks sweet. The rims could be a bit cleaner but that's just a tiny detail.

cheers

I don't like the car, but then again, you've once more give me some inspiration, though I never visit this location. I just hate those black lines which are reflected from the scenery, I can never clean them how they should be. Anyway, the body and door lines are spot on this time Beerz đź‘Ť The only thing I can say is that the blue colour of the car and the yellow tint on the whole image don't seem to go together very well...

Great job!

Its always a pleasure coming here!!! Again U have made a beautiful update. Yeah...I agree, that car is very elegant...its a "modern elegant" car, with modern lines of course. Great job on the cleaning, and I also love the contrast of the shot, very nice indeed!!
This "bar" its gettin full of customers, so please bring more mate:tup:

I agree the rims seem a bit rough. The light green tone is quite interesting IMO, but it seems a bit isolated with the R390's body. Anyhow the clean up is nice and smooth.

Alfa GT: Wow Beerzy, I love what you have done with this shot. So clean and the lighting and colour is spot on imo. You did a great job on the hood lines, I still haven't figured out how to do that. :dunce:
I love that car, so good looking. I gotta take some more shots of it sometime. đź‘Ť

R390 Road Car:
Another awesome job, you have some skills. Great work on the car, that location can be a nightmare at certain angles. I really like the lighting in this shot, really brings the shot to life. I am not to sure about the yellow/green colour though, it's interesting but maybe it would of been better toned off a bit more.

Anyway, two superb shots. I have also really enjoyed you recent competition entries, great stuff. Keep it up Beerzy. đź‘Ť

Long time no post here... :)

Guys, thank you very much for your comments, I really appreciate them. TW, thanks for your detailed comment on each shot and support. đź‘Ť I'm sorry not to reply to everyone individually (which I've always done since I started my gallery), but I really don't have the time, since I only have internet access at work - just a few sneaks to the polls - and in my parents' house - where I am now typing this, while my brother looks really mad, waiting for me to get my ass off this chair so he can continue to write his report. *cough* watch internet porn *cough*.

Also, this is the reason why I haven't commented on everyone's galleries, which is something I really enjoy doing. I'll try to catch up on your updates as soon as I can and leave a comment.

Anyway, on this last update, I see the green-ish tone was a case of love-hate (more hate than love, actually). As far as the rims, the have very thin spokes and I really didn't want to ness them up more, so I left them the way they were. But cool you guys liked the work on the car.

Now, on to an update. It's nothing fancy, just a standard shot, but I really wanted to update my gallery with something.
Hope you like it anyway...

Nothing fancy?! I'm utterly in love with this shot. You've done an amazing job cleaning it up and making the car feel substantial. I love it!

Nothing fancy he says!! Right....
Look at the shot, its awesome!!! Clean as hell, great reflections, love the camera, shows the brutal look of the car...and U say its nothing fancy.

Congrats on this "nothing fancy" update, one of my favourites on your gallery:)
