The Auto Union is very shining, realistic and amazing...

Has for the scenery ones...
It's ok if they, well... suck. Because it's the first time I've done them.
You are modest I see. Don't worry, they are great! the reflections, and the contrast are very well made.
Keep it up!

looking real good i must say! i like what you did with the lighting and the reflections are top notch! hope this won't be the last. i wanna see what you can do in the nurburgring.

"these shots suck. NAAT!" But really man i think for your first attempts they came out very good if you ask me, i find them to be very vibrant, especially:tup: the Suzuka shot! Great job man, i will be looking forward to more pics

Lovely work...U know how to make things right!!
My favourite shot is the one of Suzuka. The tarmac is looking great!! And what a view!!!
The Costa di Amalfi is also very good, I love all that "wide" look!!

Well done Beerz!!

Hey, I'm back! :dopey:
Couldn't go to the beach yet, because I can't get any sun on my scar just yet...

Whoooops! Great! The 2nd one has a bit excessive yellow in the whole image, but the tarmac's reflections you added is amazing. All those sceneries are good. Hope to see more of them when you'll be back.

Salu2.alexwrc

Thanks for your comment, alex! 👍
Yeah, I overdone a bit on the yellow overall, must take more care next time.
Glad you liked the reflections, those took some time. :)

You have chosen great locations Beerzy:tup: especially Suzuka, because if you get it right (which you have) it can look amazing, those reflections on the road are great:tup:
I also love the other 2 because they are simple but effective:tup:
Can't wait for more in the near future:D

cheers

Tommi2000:D

Thank you very much, Tommi!
I too think Suzuka has a lot of potential in sceneries, specially because it's not often seen around.

Welcome back, LdS! :)
Thanks for your comments, and yes, I'm usually not very confident in my shots. Actually, the ones I have more confidence in, people don't like them as much.

Thanks a lot, J!
You're the guy that made me do this update, you know? 👍
I don't know about the ring, though... I've already thought about it, then I remember alex's shot for the H2H comp, and my marbles shrink...

I'm absolutely in love with the suzuka shot. I'm just waiting to hear the roar of engines:D Great work beerz!

Thank you very much, Tony!
I figured that one would be more your 'thing', mainly because of the light work. I know you so well already... :sly:

You scared me for a while. :)
Thanks for your very positive comment, DC5dude. 👍

Bro, welcome back here!
Thanks a lot for your comment, I always appreciate them. 👍
I'll do some more. :)

Out of the three shots, I prefer Suzuka more, due to the perspective you used.

Thanks for your comment, TVR&FF. :)
Yeah, the Suzuka was the only one I did not treat as a standard scenery shot, maybe that's why it came out nice.

_____________________________________________________

Seems most people like the Suzuka shot better, and not even one mentioned the NY shot, which was my favorite and the one I spent more time on. That should teach me something. 💡
Thanks all for your comments, guys.

Now, before the next 'update', I just wanna say my PS2 broke down. Apparently, after close inspection, the sudden death happened because one of the wires connecting the fan got looser, scraping the fan, cutting the wire, which disconnected the fan, making PS2 overheat (just a bit...), which fried it's brains. Or not. I'm hoping that I can have it fixed within a reasonable time.
In the meanwhile, I can only work on the shots I have on my HD, and unless they suit some comps, won't be entering any of them... :(

On for the update.
It's not really an update, it's just the shots I entered during the tournament up until the final, for which I thank all who voted for me.
(hope the panel works... :scared:)

U already know that I love your work...and people can see in these shots how good it is. So now I just wanna say that I like your panel a lot, very nicely done...and the thumbs of each shot goes really well with the background.👍

Hope U can fix your PS2...or as a last resort buy another...because its always good to see updates from U...and of course...see U enter the comps:tup:

I love all of your shots in this update (as i normally do) especially the RUF and Zonda ones, in the RUF one I love how you have got the Brake discs glowing in such a dark environment that gives it the menacing touch:tup: and as for the Zonda shot its so beautiful it is very calm and almost....relaxing:).
I too love the presentation of the panel:tup:

Hope you can fix your PS2:tup:, i feel your pain:(

cheers

Tommi2000:D

Yup, your PS2 must work again or Photoshop will be angry hehe.

I think I've already commented those pics except the final one, and I'm still feeling the Zonda/Mine's/Prelude are ultra sexy!! Each one is so nicely done, no nicely executed, I can't stop loving them.

About the Formula I've to say you had the torunament in your hand. I know the Master Franz is a very hard opponent, but your idea to catch the streamlines of the car could easly win if you had made it with the superb technique of the Prelude.

The main problem I found was the poor textures, so anyways it's a difficult base to fix detail by detail because you couldn't use external logos (i.e). The lateal sticker also must has got more definition, it's very important in the whole photograph theme.

The body seems to be nicely cleaned, I think you could have emphasized some reflections to do it more spectacular in terms of lights.

In another side, the combination of blue-green tones are a great change indeed, but a bit artificial once again. I can see you used it in the rear part of the formula, and it works fine! but it don't in many areas of the photo.

That image is a winner, but more work was needed to reach the brutal quality level of the famous Prelude :D

With your permission, I'm going to train with LFS a bit hehe.

Wow….they are all awesome, but the qualifying and the prelude are just….(I don’t even have words to describe).

I hope you fix your PS2, or it is opportunity to buy a PS3…

very nice! i'm out of words. i remember that zonda entry :D the prelude and the FGT has to be my favorite out of them all, heck, they're all my favorites really :)👍

I am sorry to hear about the PS2, but if you have the cash, maybe it is time to upgrade to a PS3.

Maybe your PS2 is telling you to dump her and introduce you to PS3 ;)
btw congrats making yourself into final. I know it's not easy because lots of crazy photoshop gurus here, so you should be proud of yourself :) I think if I can vote the best entry from qualifying to final, that prelude shot definitely my first choice!

how did you break it if you don't mind me asking ? is it the slim version or the bigger one ? any update on it ? i need you to do another update soon :D jk.

You must be talking about the 3000GT. 👍
Thanks, Tommi. Glad to see you still like my work, mate.

Thanks a lot for the detailed comment, alex. :)
the "you had the tournament in your hand" phrase almost makes me cry...
Seriously, I totally agree with your annalysis (sp?) on the shot, I think the main problem was that I rushed it because of real life (yes, I have one too), and it showed.
But like you said, it would be really hard to beat franz anyway, he's been in lots of tournament finals, and won most of them, so...
But I really appreciate your support.

Congrats on you for winning it! 👍
I am proud I made it to the final, but you know how it is, losing is always bitter. But you deserved the win, honestly.
And I think I'm gonna have to start selling posters of the Prelude shot, that thing is a gold mine!

how did you break it if you don't mind me asking ? is it the slim version or the bigger one ? any update on it ? i need you to do another update soon :D jk.

It's the standard version, the metallic blue one.
I believe it was whan I last opened it for cleaning, somehow the wire must've slipped a bit and touched the fan. Over time, the fan scraped the wire, cutting it.

* Anyway, answering all of your prayers, I just got myself a brand spanking new PS3!!!!!!
I'll bring it to my parents' house tomorrow to connect it to the internet and download GTHD.
GT4 didn't work on it (damn, was I PISSED!), but I downloaded the system update to my USB pendisk, took it home, updated it, and voilà!
GT4 saves and loads faster, only those stupid task bars while tuning your car remain at the same speed.
As I had to restart GT4 all over (PS2 memory card doesn't work on PS3), I don't have many car's now. I had about 600, now I have 31. And virtually no race cars yet.

Damn, this thing is awesome. Too bad my 32" TV is not HD ready.
Still, 'Resistance: Fall of Man' looks damn good. :D

Expect a new update soon. :)

Congrats you having a new girlfriend 👍
hope to see you back for the comp soon with lot more updates

Beerzy where do you live? I am prepared to take a flight to steal your PS3.....:sly:

And yes I do care.....

Thanks, buddy!
I hope to have an update ready tomorrow or the day after. 👍

btw, my girflriend still doesn't know I bought it. Boy, will she be pissed when she goes there and see where part of our vacation money went to...

Just go to this link and download the gt4 gamesave that is there. You will have a lot of cars then. (unless you just want to play through gt4 again)

Cool! :D
Thanks a lot, D_P! That's a great help, saved me countless hours redoing everything.
:banghead:Lol my mistake, what was i doing?:dunce:

BTW: Congrats on your PS3!👍

Thanks, mate. :)
And don't worry about the confusion, It's understandable. 👍

Beerzy where do you live? I am prepared to take a flight to steal your PS3.....:sly:

And yes I do care.....

You're totally welcome here anytime, speeds.
I live south of Lisbon. Seixal, to be exact. Neighbour to SL Benfica's footbal team training campus (3mins from my house). 👍
And check before, it might be more expensive to take the flight than to buy the PS3...👍

You know you can buy a memory card adapter for the PS3, also good work on buying a PS3.

Oh yeah that might be a probelm.....I really have to think this through.....:dunce:

👍

You know you can buy a memory card adapter for the PS3, also good work on buying a PS3.

Thanks, TVR. I'm really happy with it so far, it's an outstanding machine really. 👍
Also, I'll see if I can find that adapter, and how much it costs.

So you bought a PS3?

...You luckly SOB! Kiss that girlfriend of yours goodbye!:P

:sly: Damn right!
and she wasn't as pissed as I thought she would be, only major negative thing was the 'no sex for you tonight' thing, but all's normal now.

LdS
Nice to ear that you have the PS3, you make me jealous.

You too!!!??? Well, I don’t live in Seixal exactly, but close (Corroios). The world is small.

Thanks, LdS. :)

And that's like being neighbours, it's less than 10mins from my house!
The world is a small place indeed.

does gt4 look any better on the ps3 though ? i guess now you have to upgrade to an HDTV, just to make the whole experience more valid if you know what i mean. i'm getting myself an HD tv pretty soon, so i can unwrap my xbox 360 and tvr can stop bugging me. congrats on the new system again.

alex - Thanks for the quick reply, but what brown?... I was referring to the light blueish/grey column on the left, where member's info and avatar is located. Do you know the color of that bar?

LdS - I really didn't want to bother Jordan with this, since some of the regular members here know this for sure. But thanks for the tip.

J - You have a 360, but still packed?...
No, it doesn't look any different. Probably would on a HDTV, but only because of the screen itself, in looks it's exactly the same as it was on the PS2.
I'm not going to change my TV any soon, because I got this about 3 years ago, it's still almost new, and I can't afford no HDTV now. Nor will I within at least a year, so I'll have to settle with standard resolution for the time being. But when I do, it'll be a full Hd set, 1080 all the way. 👍
Maybe by then they'll be selling 2160p 66" devices at 400 euros...

franz and/or TW and/or sej, you guys all have transparent avatars, what's the damn color of the bar on the left?
