hello all,

I am trying to get a grip on tuning here. Much reading done and still a bit confused.

If I am dealing with understeer in corners (front outside tire goes red then inside) car slides out and is not cutting into corners well. Does not swing the rear around, just pushes out. What should I be looking at adjusting? (FR and AWD)

Is there a big difference between tuning for a controller and a wheel?
I have tried several posted tunes for several cars and this is something I run into a lot. I do use a DFGT wheel.

I'd would recommend looking into this -> https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=4408115

In that thread a GTP member with experience with all sorts of sims kind of laid out a step-by-step checklist of settings to adjust to get a desired result from a car's performance

Helped me weed-out a few issues with some of my cars, it's been years since I played GT4 and it's showing, but this guy made getting a base tune on anything simple 👍

Thanks for the link.

I have been working with that and the two guides by Scaff. They have been a lot of help.

Guess it is back to the garage and start over again. lol. I am glad I have a good tire sponsor. :)

So a tune should work for both controller and wheel? More susceptible to driving style than input type?

I think if you just learn to slow down, until you learn the car that your driving, then just go faster when you learn the tracks!!!
