For the beginning of GT6, we are forced to pick ONE car as our first car.

I didn't hate this, but I would have been MUCH happier with at least a small number of cars to choose from.

So, for GT7, can we please have a choice?

It can be from the "Recommended Cars", and it only needs to be 4 or so, but it would be very nice to have a selection.

Thanks.

I'd rather just get the money and be allowed to choose from any car in the game. Provide me with a list of recommendations if you want, but give me freedom of choice. I am fairly certain we got the Honda Fit this time because Honda paid a fee to have it be that way. Think about that for a minute:eek:

A Gen-1 RX-7 would be really cool, since we don't have them in GT6, or any other GT as far as I recall.

Starting off with a kart would be a really interesting idea, and it would make sense since a lot of racers started on karts.

The other side of this is of course, if by some miracle we get multiple career modes in GT7, I'd be more than happy to be forced into a particular sedan or beater in order to work my way up to a career in GT3 or GT500. Or start out in karts to work my way up through Formula Ford, Indy Lights, Formula Atlantic, F3, Indy Cars and finally F1.

But in GT Classic mode, which is all we have now, being forced into one car after having 15 years of being able to choose any car, smacks of commercial sellout in favour of gameplay, regardless of which car is chosen:tdown:

@Johnnypenso yeah exactly I was pretty bummed. Not only did they force me to buy a Honda Fit which is not enough car for the money but then I wasn't able to buy anything else of any consequence since I had just spent my credits on a Honda Fit. So unless A) I drove it and won more credits with it or B) paid real money for in game credits I wasn't going to be driving anything else. It was all a big Honda advertisement coupled with a money grab.

Yep. That's why I created this thread. Glad to see so many replies! :)

Oh, and awesome (!!!!) idea for the Karts!

If I were forced to buy a car in GT7, why not a Datsun 240Z or 280ZX? It's ideal like a first gen RX-7.
Because it doesn't matter what car you force people to take, it's still forcing them to take one car and one car only. That's fine if you are in "Open Wheel Career Mode" and forced to take a kart, that makes logical sense. Forcing someone to take one car in the generic "career mode" GT currently uses makes no logical sense, especially considering we had a choice for 15 years prior.

Going on what has occurred in GT6 don't be surprised if we aren't forced to use the Mars Rover :-( With SRF forced on ;-)

Just think of something really illogical or stupid and that will be what will happen........ sigh

GT2 if I recall correctly.

They need to come back, along with SVXs! :grumpy:

Why not start a game with a brand new X2011 from the begining? :P

Well at least i bought the Fit. If it wasn't for PD I wouldn't mind the car at all.

Someone I know maxed out the Fit and added Nitrous, as well, and ran the 'Ring in under 7 min, if I remember correctly. Don't know how they kept wheel spin down... ;) It IS a capable car. Maybe that is part of why we got it... (shrug)
