Hi Bergie , just wanted to say hi and wish you good luck.

Are there more tunes in progress or do you need ideas ? if so I can think of some :D

Thanks. Do it, it's always good having some ideas. I'm now thinking about a Lotus Evora tune, what do you think?

Hey Bergie, go for it. 👍 What I know about tuning is dangerous, but a little trick I picked up to help with under & oversteer (in cars that just refuse to behave no matter what you try) is the addition of a small amount of ballast & then positioning it either to the front (for oversteer) or to the rear (for understeer). Good luck & all the best.

Lotus Evora? Prepare for a wild ride, then. It is a twitchy beast even when mildly set up, and more agressive setup will see even more snappy handling, but it also has positive effect on laptimes. Have fun! :D

Good luck with the new garage.👍👍

My advice for you is to start with tunes for cars you enjoy driving the most. Having more "seat" time in a car means you've most likely spent more time getting it to perform the way you like it. Once you get a feel for how to setup tunes for these favorites it will be easier to tune less familiar cars as you will have a general idea of the kinds of settings that help you get a car to handle the way you like.
Other than that welcome to the crazy tuner club here.:D:cheers::gtpflag:

I'm new to this too and it is really fun. Like the youtube and tune sheet aspect nicely done :). Good luck!

An Evora sounds good , it has good potential and its an MR (always a treat).

At a friends I bought and drove a Ford Mach 1, I almost won the Historic race at Deep Forest :D

If you like american muscle id recommend it. Plus the aero parts look great.

Ill think of some more...

I posted this in your "Can anybody be a tuner" thread and thought I'd copy it over here.

Maybe I'm late to the party but I might make a few suggestions.

Be open to feedback. Not all of your tunes will work for everybody and some of them might just suck. Learn from it.

Organize the garage so it's easy to find the tunes. Been done many times before.

Don't make up funky names for the cars and show obscure pictures and hope we'll figure it out. Somethings as simple as Praiano's alphabetical listing without pictures is perfectly fine.

Tune online, or if not, at least state whether your tunes are online or offline as it makes a difference.

If you are a decent driver, or have a decent test driver, post some laps times so we have a point of reference.

Last but not least, it's not about volume or reinventing the wheel. There are some cars that are tuned to death and don't need yet another tune, nor do you need to create 100 tunes a year. Focus on getting a smaller number of tunes right and you'll develop a following much faster and more people will benefit from your work.

Good luck!!

Comments:
Well, I was wondering about what car to tune, so I started going through my garage, and I've seen the Mini. Then I thought: This would be a good tune, so I decided to tune it. Bought all what I've written on the top except the turbo, changed the oil, painted it red and went to Deep Forest Raceway, trying to improve my times. After 11 laps making mods in suspension and LSD, when my time was of 1.39.819, I fitted the turbo and I did a time of 1.35.433, with the final tune. Unfortunately, I forgot to save the Deep Forest replay, so I can't show it, but I did a lap on the Ring, and the car was perfect in these corners, even better than it was on Deep Forest, but the top speed was only of 200 km/h, so I changed the top speed to 220 km/h. The car is amazing! I love it, love the way it drives, love the way it accelerates, simply love it! Try it out, I think you guys will like it to.

Best Regards,

Bergie

Ha ha...I have the little Mini sitting collecting dust in the back of my garage. Busy week but later on I'll tune it up with your tune and see how she runs. I'd love to run her at 450PP online with Sports Softs if she's competitive.

Thanks Johnny! If you tune one, can you make a small review? I can give you a car in exchange, if you want to. Oh, the car was tuned offline.

Sorry man, I should have asked about the online/offline tuning before I said I'd try it out. I'll still try it, but I do everything online these days and offline tunes don't usually adapt to online very well. We'll see. Might take me a few days to get to it, I'm extremely busy with work.

Great tune, thanks. I feel a little more comfortable with the mid turbo, but that's just my preference. 👍

I would like to apologize everyone for stopping with the Tuning, but unfortunately I don't have much time to do it... Maybe on Summer 2012 I can keep up with Tuning :)
