Best and worst engine swaps?

I am fully convinced that the 2JZ-swapped GR Yaris is the best swap, especially since the base car and the engine itself are both incredibly affordable. Once you swap the engine, you get an amazing 4WD machine that can take on any events up to 700PP and maybe even beyond that. Plus, the car is great on dirt/snow courses.

I don't understand why the lemans swapped Mazda 3 is more of a pig to drive than the lemans swapped RX8. The 3 seems to want to understeer and oversteer at the same time, doesn't put the power down nicely, doesn't brake nicely and doesn't steer nicely. Usually my go to 4wd diff and torque split settings make those ****** haldex style awd systems behave like a proper full time 4wd but that mazda just doesn't want to play.

I absolutely love the R92CP swaps on the other hand.

My unrivalled favourite though is the type R swapped Beat.

The engine swapped NSX '02 is a beast at 700pp. It's quite sensitive tune-wise, but once you nail it it's quicker than an Enzo and twice as economical, winning all the 700 races (Brands Hatch, Autopolis, Laguna Seca, etc) and farms Le Mans with ease... managing 8 laps if you really want to do an extra lap!

Best swaps imo are any that make me vehicles fast as hell.

The worst are ones that make already great vehicles slightly faster or anything going into the typical noob vehicles gtr/vette.

So for example the LFA into the Alphard or whatever it is = amazing

Bugatti engine into a skyline = ridiculous

Give it some upgrades, nitrous and transmission tuning and you'll be hitting over 500km/h down Special Stage Route X. If you tune one as a track car or time attack build, it will do under six minutes on the Nurburgring.

The lamest engine swap for me would be the Honda FK8 Civic Type R swap on a Mini Cooper. Actually does more harm than good and makes it handle worse. Another is that the wheelspin kills its acceleration too much and will not benefit the car's top speed in the long run.

I agree, this thing is a beast. I ran a 6:06 at the Nurb at 800PP. I love lapping swapped cars there. I turned a 6:30 in the LT1 Mazda Roadster, pretty sketchy but fun to drive. Also, the sound of the LT4 '69 Camaro puts a smile on my face every time, 6:41.

I recently took the Hellcat Superbird to Daytona and raced against the supercars, that was some fun white knuckle racing. But one I haven't seen anyone mention is the Porsche 964 Sambabus. 370Z with the V8 super GT engine, at 600pp on Sport Softs is awesome. And the Group B Evo X Road car with the Nismo GT-R engine is also a brilliant 600pp car, especially for the wet 12 lap Tokyo race.

I loathe the Sylvia's with the V8s, and the Mazda 3 with the quad rotor is utter crap.

I hear ya, but it allows me an alt engine to use Kong=GoRolla(gorilla)=GR Corolla to beat Godzilla at Fuji ClubmanCup Plus.

The XJ220 is also brilliant with the V12 XJ9R engine swap. You can put a 600, 700 and 800pp winning tune all onto the same car. It's a bit heavy so not great for the Nurburgring, but wins everywhere else.

It's also quite apt because the reason the car is so long is because it was designed to take a V12 originally.

Have to look at the tuning page in this forum if there is an option to make this car drivable(maybe with the LSD?)

The reason ?
It's enough bad as it is ( my opinion) that any idea to proceed in engine swap is strictly forbidden.
For sure with some tuning etc. someone might cure his behaviour in some areas but it's a disappointment from the beginning.
Try it once to put it a La Sarthe and quit before finishing first lap .
It belongs to the category of cars that you need to fight with, than driving it.

I tried this car on the Nürburgring for one of the weekly challenges and couldn't get past the first sector. It was awful. On Tokyo tuned for 600pp it was okay. Nothing special at all but at least it was drivable.

Best: R32 with R92CP engine.
Next best: Anything that takes a 26B except the Mazda 3.
Also next best: the DeLorean. It takes finesse to drive and is an absolute rocket. Reaching 88 MPH is easy and where you're going you don't need roads. Serious, I like that one.
Worst: the Raptor. It's useless in races that count fuel. It should have gotten a Gen 3 Coyote or Voodoo. Other than that it's not terrible, just needs some tuning so you can actually put enough gas in the back to make a lap of Tsukuba or Autumn Ring Mini. I recommend putting max ballast at +25 to help with traction, it's an old trick we use around here where nearly everyone drives trucks, just throw some junk in the bed when it's slick out.

It's not that bad, but the worst engine swaps for me is:

- K20 Honda Mini Cooper. I just can't stand the wheelspin if it's max tuned, I can handle max tuned K20 Honda Abarth but not this. Also I haven't find a good tune to fix the wheelspin.

- Voodoo Ford Mustang Boss. It should get GAC Maverick Windsor engine instead. This swap is pointless. Normal Ford Mustang Boss has more hp when max tuned

I just won a K24 from a workout ticket! But I'm not 100% sure what to put it into. I wanna buy a spare '97 Civic EK to put it into, or maybe a spare EK Touring Car, but what do you think? Because on the other hand, I did have a spare '95 Integra Type R I could put it into, or I could buy another Sileighty from the UCD since it's currently available. (Though I did already have a Sileighty in Midnight Purple, so maybe I'll want to wait for it to re-appear in a different color?)

I would put it in the SilEighty or put it in the Type R. I have an engine swapped EK with ethe K20 in it and it just roasts the tires. Traction is terrible. However, the engine swapped Type R is a different story. Much better car. That said, the RWD car will be best for traction and overall handling.

EDIT: Somehow, I got yet another engine ticket today, and won the engine from the R92CP! I think I had heard it's best in the R34, right?

Turbocharged Civic engine works well in the Honda Beat. It demands new transmission, brakes and aero parts though.
