Best car of all time though? Someone in another thread claimed that the Cooper Mini was the best car of all time because it has lasted longer than any other car in one model. I think he said something like 20+ years without a redesign. I find that pretty impressive.
But this is all assuming that the topic is refering to production 'off the assembly line' automobiles. If you get away from that and take into account all the concept cars, custom modified cars, race cars, and specialty cars (like the Lunar Rover) ... the list is nearly endless to choose from.
When people start threads like this, they need to define a few more rules.

Well, the 3 rotors are the newer cosmo, and some of the racing cars, and is fairly new compared to the 2 rotor engine.
Yea, the Mini is a great car, I can just see myself zipping around town in one, but I like the older ones better, and the Morris's with that hydrolastic suspension.......my uncle had one before I was born, and they show it in the old SV comercials going off the ground. Now that would be fun.

I was talking about the old Mini ... it would be rather difficult for the BRAND NEW ONE to have been around 20+ years. It wouldn't be very brand new ... Although, I would really like to have a new one, or an old one ... either way I think it'd be a blast! (:

11 gears + reverse, "cyclops" headlight, rear-facing bed seats (with handles!), AWD, and even dual sunroofs, plus the ultimate combination of car and truck (a full decade before the "hybrids" came out)... jeez, this car is a dream! Too bad the name didn't sell...
(NOTE: My family actually owns one. It's sitting in our front yard, and needs a little re-working... I plan to give it life once I get older and have more $$$)

(If it even lasted that long). A disposable automobile! Back in an age when nearly everything was made to be disposable (mid-80s, I think), it set a new standard.
