best car for 1000 miles

I entered the 1000 miles race with my Ginetta G4. When I entered I was up against a ac cobra. I started brillanty but in the end i lost by miles (1000 lol). so what do you lot use for this race? what is the best car use?

The Cobra for sure. You can use it for the ac cars events too.

Provided the Cobra dosen't show, the Lotus Elan is a better choice than the Ginetta.
Mine took the Mercedes 300SL and beat it like a new drum.
You just want to tweak the transmission so that you can get 130-135 out of it on the back straight.

Out of all the cars that you could find your self up against in the 1000 miles race, its at the top of the list . . . with a large gap to the next car. Its like it was thrown in to really mess with your win loss %.

The G4 is a great car for running the 1000 mile race.
I ran my white G4 slightly modified and finished first.
My only problem was once the chassie went out, it was about as stable as Charles Manson at high speeds.

Any american muscle car stock will tear up the compeition. Maybe add a 1.5 to help it out. Not much else is needed.

Another car that I have been itching to take out is the Lotus Elan. Its a very stable little runabout. Pretty good on tires from what I can tell too.
