best car for 50,000?

I'm gonna start with the AMATEUR RACES and gotta get myself a new car.
What should I buy with alot of mod potential?
Z06? R34 GTR? ELISE :P? MUSTANG COBRA?

Best budget buy are either Camaro or the Mustang Cobra.

But what has the mosty potential tungingwise?
I want to buy every mod for it and keep it for a long time..
Well , it's really hard to find cars with low prices and then buy all tuning mods for it.

The Mustang will have nearly 750hp when you're done with it. If you can stomach it... :D

I'm a big fan of the Mustang as a "#2 car", that is, a car you use your first car to save up for and purchase. When fully modified and tuned properly, it is both an excellent competition car for the Beginner and a lot of the Amateur Leagues, as well as an absolute thrill to drive. The engine note alone is reason enough to check this car out.

The R34 Skyline can be tuned to go faster, but try steering it around a corner and you'll instantly curse it. Even with the perfect tweaking and tuning combination, it still requires a lot of skill to control.

Vitz 1.5 RS - With stage 2 Turbo and fully suspension, plus tranny and some drive train upgrades - can do the first 3 series of the Amatuer races, unless the C5R appears in the American series :P

The MR2 GT-S can be made quite fast, and its relatively cheap. I used that to complete the better part of the game, including some Pro races, at one point.

Perhaps the 22B STi is a good 50,000 dollar car stock though... not sure... Skylines :P

Yes, I can only think of a few races with limited car choices, and none of them are by country of origin.
I'd reccomend the TME Lancer, you can win every rally race with it, properly tuned.

I want a car that I can win with in every amateur cup, elise with engine mods and nice tyres?

How can I see if my tyres are worn out?

There are 4 small rectangles on the bottom left of the screen, which indicate tire wear. It starts off as blue (new) then moves on to green, yellow, orange then red (bald).

Wouldn't you rather use a variety of cars to complete the ametuer cup? It would be more interesting and involving to use different style cars.

demon of speed

I can't afford different cars.

heres an idea that pretty much works for most ppl i know, how bout u spend and hour of your time and do the super speedway endurance challenge and just hope you win a f1 car.
These are just about the ultimate racers, and u can use the money u earned to supe up ur 50k car into a beast, whichever you choose (my choice is a 1k hp skyline with racing meduims, race tranny, and a fully customizable suspension).

not to mention if you win the f1 car you can use it for all the endurance races except for 2

Mustang's not a bad car for 50k. I dont remember what the Viper is, but I think it's close, and you can use it to win any race at the test course.

Lancer EVO 6 RS and EVO 7 RS, Though you will win the GSR versions, the RS's are lighter weight. They only tune to about 525HP, but that will be more than enough for your purposes.
Another option is the "other" Vette. (the blue one) At just over 40K you can add a racing tranny and tires and be instantly competitive.
Now if your budget is only 50K total, you want to start with either a Lancer or the Camaro Z28. You won't have the "baddest car on the block" but with a few of the right races you can make enough cash to build up to the baddest car on the block.
A properly tweaked Camaro on Full mods, will easily top 200MPH. If you are a skillful tuner, you can also get better than "acceptable" handling from it.

Further, you won't be able to run the amateur cup with only one car. There are races that require a certain car or type of car.
Your best bet is to run the Euro series, the German touring car series, and the American car series, using the "save/reload trick" to win the Vertigo, the Opel Racer, and the Camaro Racer. You can either keep them (I would keep the Vertigo for the German touring car cup) or sell them, putting you up by 795,000cr + the 67,500 for winning all races and the championship bonus for the Euro cup, the 80,000 for the German touring car cup, and the 67,500 for the American car cup. By my math, that's right at 1,000,000cr for about an hour's worth of races.
Those three series, alone will put you in power to buy and mod any street car in the game, and more than a couple of the race cars.

Also, don't overlook the option of driving any of the above series four times, using the "Save-Reload" trick to get all of the available cars from the series. Check the Home page for which cars are available from which series. You can pack away a good deal of spending money whilst winning some interesting cars.
The euro cup can net you an R34 Skyline, a Lotus Elise, a Mini Cooper, or the Vertigo.
The German touring car cup can net you the Ruf R3400 (Boxster), the Beetle cup car, the Lupo race car, or the Opel Racecar.
Out of those eight cars the Skyline can be modded and used for the Red emblem races, the Boxster can be used for the roadster/spyder cup, the Beetle for the beetle cups, the Elise for the Elise cups (though I have better luck with the race version) and it's a good car for the Trial mountain enduro on t3's or t4's as it is very easy on tires. In the hands of a truly skilled driver, it can win the PD cup with little fanfare. The Vertigo is good for FR races, and you can take it back to the last series in Beginner, and wipe the track and win a very quick 150,000cr and with the Save-Load trick another Skyline.

Check out Der Alta's compendium for some ideas what cars to run to take you thru GT3 in a fairly enjoyable, and competitive fashion.

I'm a fan of the SVT Mustang myself. It gets slightly better tire wear than the Camaros, even though they're slightly cheaper. It's a bargain that I passed up until well into the game, because I listened to too many people who said it didn't handle.

Your money worries will soon be over, because in Amateur you tend to suddenly begin earning more.
