Best Cheap Car

I just got GT4 for Christmas and I'm wondering what the best cheap car to buy is. Because I have GT3 I traded over 100,000 credits and the A and B Licenses.
After that I had 110,000 credits, so I bought a Dodge Viper GTS; it is pretty good but I'm looking for a better car for under 330,000 credits. If anybody could tell me a good car to buy that would be great.:)

Don't buy a car with those credits - win one. You won't get a really good ride for under half a million so you could as well save the money until you have enough to buy something truly fast. As I don't know your location, I'll provide you two prize car lists, pick the one that suits you. :)

I've got over a million creds from the Capri trick, but I have yet to buy anything over 75,000$-and that was a part. I stick to used cars under 20,000 and have 17.2% done.

Moral: You don't need to buy now that you have all this money, I've been eying the Amuse S2000 GT1, and would be left with 450,000$ if I did buy it, but I won't let myself even go near the tuner village now.

The best cheap cars is the silvia s13, 240sx, silvia s15 spec r, or 1989 skyline gt-r r32/gts-m. They all handle great and has between 200hp and 309hp stock. they cost way below 20 grand.

Buy an EVO MR, as it is FAST, and is cheap, and it makes a great first car (No, stay away from the Vipers, I MEAN IT!)

Use that to win the Capri rally, and do it over and over, selling the 200,000 creadit prize car.

Best cheap car...
Depending on what your idea of cheap is:
The RX7 (FD) is probably the best cheap car.
You can get one of many from the used car lot and compared to pretty much every car listed so far in this thread the RX7 (FD) is faster, handles better, and cost just about the same amount.

My nominations list will all come from Used Lot II (the newest of the used cars)...
RX7 (FD)
Skyline R34 '99
Supra RZ '97
Honda S2000

Those will all cost less than or right about 30,000 credits and all have the potential to pretty much walk on any of the road car races in GT4.
The Supra and Skyline are highlights though, since both will be capable of more than 800hp after serious modifications.

With that said, I'd like to take a moment to go over some of the Dealer purchased cars that would do well with this subject...
The Evo 8 MR and Impreza STi Spec C will both do a great job if you are prepared to tune a 4WD'er. The Corvette Z06 (C5) will also do wonders for you if there isn't a pre-existing bias against American cars. For that matter, the Z06 is probably one of the best cars in the game.

Even though the new cars are tempting, I suggest the budget racer sticks to the used lots. There are plenty of great used cars and if you are smart about your purchase there will be plenty of time and money for upgrades (since a good used Supra, Skyline, or RX7 will easily earn you more money and make you want to continue racing with that particular car).

I think the cheapest used car in Gran Turismo 4 is Honda Today G 1985, available in historic showroom
