So far, I have only bought one car. The other three cars I have were all won, in which way I could get a big sum of money. If I level up once more, I get $100,000 and a Telingua Ford Mustang. Now, I would like to buy a nice, cheap Class C Modern Road car to modify into Class B and Class A. The Porsches are really nice, but so are a lot of other cars.

Things I'm looking for are a lot of Aero parts. I'm going to bring out the Need For Speed in me. I'm also looking for good body curvature to apply custom liveries.

If you know of a good car to fit my needs, please tell me so.

To be honest, all of them. I love the looks of all the cars in game. Pick the ones you like personaly.

You probably already own the cheapest C class car, the Lotus Exige S... I personally really like that car, but the Lancer Evo IX MR, the 370Z, and the R34 GTR are good cars as well. The Audi R8 isn't really that cheap, but it will do you very well throughout the C, B and A modern races... Works converted it's a monster too.

Just complete the Modern B and Modern A invitationals if you're looking to save money. You'll get B class (Corvette) and A class (MP4-12C) cars as prize.

crispy, its not like in GT5 where you have to ask "is it worth it?" before you buy a certain car cause if its bad you lose money. Try whatever you think you could like, upgrade it, tune it, test it, if you dislike it sell it - and you get all your money back, including the money for upgrades.

PS: A little less thread opening, a little more exploration maybe... ;)

I'll try that. I was just worried that my liveries might disappear if I sell a car.

The Lotus Exige they give you is decent but you won't be able to get all the upgrades so go for the ones that give you the biggest boost. I think I tuned mine to be 988 PI (performance index), the only car I've managed to get a perfect 1499 Class B is the Lexus LFA lol

Depends all on your driving style to tell you the truth, FWD cars are not really worth it unless its same car/class. Mazda's, Nissan 370z, Rs4 & TT (Audi) are good cars for c - class. Personally i like the Fc Rx-7 which i have gotten to be close to competitve B class times now. Also you might want to check around with different types or engine upgrades and switch em' around some give more/less horsepower depending on what parts are installed.

Depend on your drive still if you like FWD ford focs ,AWD tt quattro /gtr34 nissan and rx8 mazda , subaro wrx this all cars under modern cars and if you like retro cars and for me is the best cars for all class is Toyota corolla gts86 its vvvery good car but its depend on your drive still becaus its draft car.its retro car and you can add rx7fd and for musscl cars you can buy cobra or viber . All this car its good for c class .you need only to got the perfact tune and upgrad for those cars and it will reward you back not in one or two or three month drive and drive dont quick .sorry for writting english its not my native langage :-) :-)

the old escort cosworth is awsome, but even works converted it only makes it to B. Its one of my fav's though fun fun car to drive. I got it set up pretty good now i pull the inside front tire off the ground under accel quite a lot , looks cool on the replays :)

Personal recommendation would be the Cobra too.

Performance Index: Group C - 997
Modification Levels: Engine swapped, highest level Air Intake, Exhaust, Camshaft, Valve Train, Suspension, Brakes, Tyres, Full Weight Reduction, Entry Level Nitrous.

This car definitely kills with no remorse, certainly outperforming it's 997PI rating. It does have a tendancy to understeer if you leave the tuning in it's default settings, but it's easy to get used to.
I've used it for all the non modern muscle events (where the Viper reigns supreme) and have also used it to beat the Endurance series, generally lapping the entire field within the 20 laps of the race. In the Road America endurance I lapped most of the field twice.

sound like quite the car, ill want to race your cobra, you up for it? :sly:

No probs, haven't played online much with Shift 2 other than to mess around with the 300mph Audis on the drag strips.

I should be back on after the weekend, as the missus is in the hospital giving birth to my first kid.

just got the cobra and upgraded it to 998 pts, then did the endurance race at road america. Totally dominated that race.
after some tweaking with the set up its a very cool car to drive. Any one know if the sidewall matters? I swear when i put 15's in the back and 17's up front it really made a differance. I wanted just enuf rim to not cover the brakes. Then set the front psi to 38 and the rears at 28. Now its just a blast to drive you can really throw it in a corner and just stand on the gas. In one corner on the replay i carried the inside front tire just a bit off the ground all the way from the apex to the exit.

Try that, it's much faster upgrades...but don't think you will beat hondy lol, it ll just make you faster, and with right gears even wheelies...

999 cobra
Don't swap engine (it's a legend lol) 👍

air int 1
exaust 1
valve 1
block 1
fuel 2

Clutch 2
transmission 3

TURBO 1 👍
Nitro Full

BRAKES, TYRES AND SUSPENSION FULL
No weight...it's light enuf.

I just love this car more than any other in this class, but others can be faster...

If you have legends pack the Cobra also is the best choice on some events, but then fully upgraded you will have 1412, but like I said before, It's a legend engine, so I didn't swap it, it goees up to 1469Pi...Less top speed but brutal

enjoy
