best drift car with under 300hp?

Newton's Second Law. More force and less mass gives more acceleration - so yes, a low PWR generally helps for drifting. The even weight distribution of the AE86 is an added bonus.
A 300+hp AE86 would be a little bit too much power for my own tastes in GT4 [I belive mine is tuned to 220hp... ? I think], but to each his own.
yes, na is a good decision for power in low and med revs but a turbo may not have that good boost in low revs but when it kicks in you know about it
i run my s15 with n2 tyres and it has 445hp (the settings for it are in the setting depot btw) and most people say that fr cars with more than 300-350hp are useless
but in my opinion , i think its betta with that extra power and because there is more power hitting the wheels,the faster they spin=the more it drifts

i decided to go and tune up my chevy camaro iroc-z
OMG that thing is an absolute god for drifting , its can drift from 2nd -4th gear with out lifting off its MAD!!
go and try it if u want to have an ace drift car!!
shall i post my settings 4 it at the settings depot or do u guys want me 2 jst post them here?
o and btw i didnt think of starting a new thread for this but, what is your favourite American drift car?
mines the camaro its just sweet!!!!!

I like the AE86. It only needs a Weight Reduction or so and you can maximize the power.
yea, you nedd to try the iroc-z because you have to spend bout 30k on a supercharger and r.muffler and buy r.suspension and uve got a class a drift car.
i bought the lexus gs 300 v.e and kept it stock , turned the aids off and put on 1 weight reduction and its a cool drift car for how much weight its got and with only 276hp!!

For sub-300hp drifting you really can't go wrong with a Silvia or RX7.

He might mean that it's more a product of Ford's European market since it follows design cues from the European Mondeo and Ka and was introduced there a year or so earlier than in North America.

yes, i have some cars that drift (about 11) and the lowest horespower one is my stock mazda rx7 type rs-r(261hp) and the one with the most power
is my silvia r aero s15 with 445hp and thats still good (btw ive posted the settings for this car in the settings depot
i find cars ranging from 250-450 hp is about the right amount of horespower to drift

I agree with gt4az. I find it a bit hard to drift with high HP cars. With how HP cars you have more control of the drift.

if you have to much power , the drift will become hard to control and the car would just spin out.
earlier on, i tried 2 stock cars and put n1 tyres on both and turned the aids off
and they were cool
(the cars were a mazda rx7 rs-r and the other nissan 200sx (s14)
the rx7 was a bit betta with the extra power(261hp) compared to the nissans
(216hp)
